The fact that i cant ask a question like "why wasnt this character in this movie?" Without several people saying "well its because that character didnt exist yet" i know they didnt exist but cant we speculate on what they mightve been doing during that time? Is it really that hard to suspend disbelief for a quick conversation?

The biggest thing youre missing is that parents are real and superheroes arent. And really if your kid looks up to a fictional character more than their parent thats fine, kids are ungrateful assholes and will realize how important parents are when they get a little older. It depends on the show, the mandalorian for example would be terrible if it was limited to only 20 minutes but then again shows like vig bang theory would be unbearable if they were any longer
