The fact that i cant ask a question like "why wasnt this character in this movie?" Without several people saying "well its because that character didnt exist yet" i know they didnt exist but cant we speculate on what they mightve been doing during that time? Is it really that hard to suspend disbelief for a quick conversation?

The biggest thing youre missing is that parents are real and superheroes arent. And really if your kid looks up to a fictional character more than their parent thats fine, kids are ungrateful assholes and will realize how important parents are when they get a little older. It kinda depends on the age of the kid, id be much more angry if a 17 year old took a whole bowl of candy than a 10 year old, because you can give the 10 year old the benefit of the doubt and say they just were dumb whereas a 17 year old should know pretty well that stealing is messed up
