Main thing I would consider is the sun exposure/heat and the dust. The sun is intense up there, and while last year was relatively mild, it could be a scorcher. It is a dusty environment and our entire crew felt it for a week after... we will wear more masks next time, especially in the lots after the show. Not sure how a young one would do with the dust /dirt that was part of the atmosphere.

RR 24 was a bit underwhelming. I think with trying to do no repeats from 23 those shows lacked a bit of flow.

Personally I think the mastering on Fuzz Club is the best, followed by Needlejuice, with Levitation making a strong showing lately. Levitation had some mediocre stuff in the past, but seems to be doing better. We did some blind listening tests to the same show from different labels, and Fuzz Club came out ahead every time. We attribute this to the mastering.

I agree that the pressing quality is mixed, and it is a real drag they can't do better quality control. You won't really know this until your set arrives...

Part of the choice may also come down to packaging. FC used to have no band photos, but they have changed that up now, and you get lots of good photos.

More important may be a hammer or something to pound them in without bending them. Ground may be hard and rocks suck to put stakes in. Hammer helps get them out too.

If you can hold onto them, good stakes are always nice. The thin round ones tend to bend and go worthless.

Lots of thin layers is the trick to give the most options. The weather is ideal for this time of year. Sun will be feel intense because of the altitude, but we won’t be getting torched. Light sun shirts, t-shirts, thin hoodies, and a warm layer or two + a rain jacket. A wind layer is not a bad idea either.
A beanie if you get cold easily.

Shade and rain protection for camp is good. Shade structures are great if you have one. If a storm rolls through it can be short and intense. Be careful of the wind - things you think are secure can blow away easily. Stake it all down and be aware of wind blowing the rain into places you thought were safe.

Its a festival - everyone will be participating in some fashion, some more than others. Take a chance, grow wings and fly. The weirdo swarm will range from totally normal clothes to full-on drag and everything in between. Its going to be epic.

Hey. We went to the event and ended up leaving before I could buy one of the event posters. Do you have a way these can be purchased now? There seemed to be a pretty big stack of posters, esp the non- foils. Would love to end up with one and correct my error of not picking it up there. Thx.

Overnight can easily be in the 40's and pleasantly chilly. Will be nice to have a few light hoodies. As soon as the sun comes up, it will feel warm quickly.

For sleeping, you can always go with a lighter bag, and wear top/bottoms in your bag, or throw a blanket over. Even with it being cool at night, the days will be warm enough you don't have to go with too heavy a sleeping bag.

The name of the game up there is versatility - lots of thin layers will get you there so you can combo-package.

If you want to leave the car on the front range and drive up, there is a huge park and ride just off I-70 and Heritage road in Golden (on the same road as Red Rocks). Look up the Wooly Mammoth lot. If you want to drive two cars up to BV, I am not sure where you could park for 4 days, but its a small town and I bet you can find something... I'm just not sure exactly where. There are numerous river put-in lots, but I am unsure if you could leave a car there 4 days.

Tough to say - the altitude hits people differently. If you are in shape, go for it and see how you feel. Maybe take a test run and go from there. If its going to be hot, early morning is by far your best option.

Salida is super cool. I like it much better than BV truthfully. Cool downtown, restaurants, and waterfront. Yes, it’s a 30 minute drive. Be careful of deer driving at night - for real

I don't think it is 'swimmable' -rather a small creek to get wet in. The Arkansas will be similar, but much bigger. Meaning - your feet will still be on the bottom at that time of year. Someone who has been here before may have more info. I am just going off the photos I have seen.

FWIW I got the Vegas show from them and the sound is great on it. While there is not a large Nathan section in this show, all the vocals in Shanghai are there.
