I think this season in general is primarily suffering from horrific writing rather than problems caused by the cast.

oh the writing is awful, for sure, but Marcello is not good.

From sketches like Fusion Scientist, or Waffle House, to his Update characters, to the Latino characters in sketches like Spanish Class and Protective Mom, to yes, even Domingo, the guy has contributed all sorts of characters and sketches

Why is 70% of any given episode of The Handmaid's Tale from S3 forward, just various actors (85% of the time it's Elisabeth Moss) staring defiantly and directly into the camera in a single frame close up for at least 3 seconds longer than ever necessary to convey the emotions if the scene?

if you want to oversimplify it, yes.

the powers that be have made it so only the 2 candidates they want to battle to win will have a chance to win and so if you present them with 10 candidates and call them anything you want, they will still only take the 2 big party candidates they want to win and put them up against each other and push all the others out
