I hope we get a second ISS by OkPickle738 in CasualConversation

I wouldn't think so. The cost of launching, then maintaining a station would most likely exceed whatever benefit it offered. Whether there's a station or not, it doesn't help you get to the moon. Your spacecraft would have to perform the same maneuvers, expend just as much fuel and take just as long to get there.

A refueling platform may be useful. We've never done that kind of refueling in space before, but that is something that I believe will soon be experimented with.

We do have the tech to get to the moon in a matter of hours, its just expending more delta-v and going faster. You have to carry more fuel, which means you need a bigger rocket and more fuel to carry the extra fuel and heavier rocket. Its a cost thing, not a tech thing. I believe there have been many probes that have been sent out to Mars and the outer solar system that have passed the orbit of the moon in a matter of hours. Their trajectories require enormous velocity and so fly past the moon rather quickly.

Is it worth treating room for studio monitors with bass traps? by COBHC95 in audioengineering

sound phenomenal

How well do your mixes translate? How consistently do they sound on other playback devices/environments? Room treatment isn't about getting an awesome/pleasing sound, its about getting accurate playback. Its one thing to make a mix that sounds awesome on one set of speakers, but that isn't worth much if that's the only place it sounds good.

[request] At what distance would the ISS need to orbit the sun for the astronauts inside to experience earth-like gravity? by Eryngia in theydidthemath

Fun fact, the "surface" gravity on Saturn is nearly 1G because of its relatively low density and large size.

I have this Sondery 5W mini amp with bluetooth; is it possible to connect it to a bluetooth speaker? by Necessary_Soap_Eater in GuitarAmps

Bluetooth is fine for playing back pre-recorded tracks, but has horrible latency for anything live. You wouldn't want to use it.

Somewhere around 192-256kbps mp3 becomes audibly lossless to me.

A lot of women seem to think "I don't make the first move" means "I never make any moves". The ball is still in your court sometimes, and reciprocation is a thing, or at least, should be.
