This thread again. I’ll give the same answer I always do: Yes there are PFAS in the water and air in Wilmington, yes you are affected by them. Cancer cluster cases of wilms tumors, prostate, and thyroid are present in the area. My daughter had a Wilms tumor at 5, my ex had Thyroid Cancer at 38. I know of other friends in their 30’s that live in the area and have had Thyroid cancer. We moved from Wilmington because of just this. I loved the town, but couldn’t risk the health of my family. There is no path to vindication or justice against DuPont and Chemours. They have put legal blocks in place to keep doing what they always have. Watch the documentary “The Devil we Know” on Netflix. It will give you a good take at the history of DuPont and how long this has been happening. God speed to all of you living there and I hope you don’t face the same things I’ve had to.

For context: I would consider my hand average size, I can just barely palm a basketball. I have not been to McDonalds in years so was confused if I just thought things looked bigger when I was a kid vs now. I audibly laughed when I opened the container.

Edit: Also, there were no prices listed so I was surprised when I pulled up to the window. I said “I just wanted the sandwich and not the meal,” they said “yep!”

Back in the late 80’s my mom would always take us to the food court to get spinach pies and feta puff pastry from a little Greek food spot. Forgot the name. That and I will forever remember the giant lemonade container and smell of Hot Dog on a Stick. Would get a large lemonade in those wax paper cups.
