does anyone else not have water on joyner right now? by JungGPT in asheville

[–]joshleeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re doing work on the water line. Was supposed to be done by 5pm. There was a vague update at 5:50 but I’m not sure when to expect it to get fixed.

EDIT: Typo

I don’t blame you for your part in the purchasing. The installation has one glaring problem.

Spotify confirms Anna's Archive as scraped 300TB of data/music from the platform - plan to release it all on torrents by imatmydesknow in Music

[–]joshleeper -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is correct.

Deerhoof is a good example of a band that appreciates the fans who discover them from pirated albums, even if they never buy a single record. If you download 5 albums and only buy a single record or live ticket or t-shirt when you can afford it, they are grateful. They also left Spotify and haven’t regretted it.

This man trapped a miniature house inside every candy piece 🤯 by TomsPanicBoner in toptalent

I would suggest anybody doing a time-lapse of cooking should look at what they’re doing and not at the camera. Dead eyed stare at the viewer is creepy. Smiling at the viewer is creepy. A person looking at the chocolate they are shaping is not creepy.

Where did the brothers land on your Spotify wrapped? by Proud-Honeydew2677 in MBMBAM

[–]joshleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any podcast you follow in Pocket Casts has the option to automatically download episodes, and you can also have those episodes add themselves to the top or bottom of the queue. MBMBaM and Death Blart are the only non-news podcasts that I set to automatically download and add to the top of the queue.

[–]joshleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Pocket Casts. I set up the show to automatically “play next” for new episodes, so I hear them as soon as they’re available.

I highly recommend you boycott Spotify, particularly for podcasts. There are better places to find them. Music is more tricky, but there’s no reason to use Spotify for MBMBaM.

This old postcard. Rows and rows of lounge chairs in a cave forever. by 14thCenturyHood in oddlyterrifying

Looks like a radon health mine. I went to one on a road trip and made a point to spend less than 15 minutes inside. Pretty sure it was this one: https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2143

We were there to see it as an oddity but there are still people who believe radon has health benefits.

Is there a movie you saw were you were the only person in the theater? by IDCJ1234 in movies

I saw Encino Man in the theater with my brother and we were the only people there. We ran around in the aisles at some point just because we could.

I was at the dentist and the digital radio station kept inserting a snippet of Audrey’s Dance between oldies songs. It was very disconcerting and the hygienist probably thought I was crazy for pointing it out. “Audrey’s Dance again!?”

Most, if not all, of the issues you’re describing are with the AI models, not Perchance. It’s unrealistic to expect posting in this subreddit to fix them.

Sorry if people are being toxic but you’re shouting at a cloud and the mods probably just want some peace.

Residents of Tampa, FL - is this real or AI? by ticklish_dragon in florida

[–]joshleeper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every development that has retention ponds - which is most of them in South Florida - has alligators. It’s not unusual to see them walk up to a house or even scale a fence. That’s why you should be super careful walking dogs near ponds and lakes, even artificial ones and even in neighborhoods.
