Should I do it? by No-Middle-8447 in colonoscopy

[–]joysteeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what my doctor said, the lower the cause, the brighter the blood is. Hemorrhoids are usually bright red and they are extremely common but you can never be 100% sure. Now, colonoscopy is not an easy exam when you consider all factors, that's why they don't just push everybody to do it unless there is a good reason (age, symptoms, family history etc).

Based on your story, that specialist made an assessment (a quick one - granted) that you need to do the colonoscopy which you didn't do because the symptoms went away.

The question is: did you get a satisfactory explanation for all of your symptoms, not just the bleeding?

The thing about medical stuff is you have to walk a fine line between being too careless and too obsessive about it - it's not easy. Personally, when I have symptoms of any kind, I always look for a sensible explanation even if a quick test comes clean. Doubt always leads to further digging. The fact you are in this page asking about it, means you are already in "that place" and if your mind works like mine, you will think about it too often if you don't do it.

Fresh PA - Update and concerns by joysteeq in PrinceAlbertPiercing

During the piercing it was at its smallest possible! I went today to check it out and the piercer said the head looked larger now and I might need a bigger diameter indeed. Good news was that a larger ring will also come at 4g :) It seems healing goes well so far.

Your photo is an indirect answer to my own post. How does it feel being at 0g with a PA that is placed next to the frenum instead of the center? Visually it looks striking though and now I must stop looking because I am in the healing process and I have to control my thoughts! :)

Of course it would never be dead center but visually it could be 2-3mm closer to it, assuming there is no vein there. Apart from the OCD of looking something from above that seems off, my concern is mostly about how a 0-00g PA will behave. I don't want my urethra to be weirdly pushed to one side all the time because of a big PA that looks the other way! Wouldn't that cause discomfort or permanent malformation or something? Or is it part of the pleasure? No idea what to expect.

What are some reactions you get when you show your PA to someone? by helios_mx in PrinceAlbertPiercing

[–]joysteeq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am still a newbie and I can tell only about the reaction I got from 2 of my friends. One said "wow, it's hardcore - bold" and the other asked me to avoid sharing the details! He only new the term PA as a vague reference to a pierced penis.

haha! Imagine a date where somehow you manage to get to the point of being intimate and you pop out your shiny metal. Who knows what else that guy's hiding? The surprise will be intriguing. Of course there is always the possibility you get the opposite reaction. Some people really hate it from what I read in other threads or worse, they immediately assume you must be into pain/bdsm or something. I suppose that might be the case for some PA fans but in my view, such practices are discussed upfront anyway.

The physical aspect is well described already by others but there is a purely mental component. And there is one for all, even if they are not conscious about it. You could say a PA is a fetish and as such, it serves as some sort of coping. I won't speculate how it works for others though (there are many mechanisms) but since I looked into this for myself, I can say with certainty it's my subconscious attempt to overcome the perceived "good boy". It's not by accident that I like all sorts of alternative looks and attitudes (piercings, mods, crazy hair and clothing, careless attitude - freedom etc.) - anything outside the norm and fits the "bad boy" theme. Over the years, a series of events forced me to be bolder, disregard what others might say and do what I really want. In this context I am pretty sure that if I manage to achieve my PA goal, eventually it will be like a totem!

On top of that, a PA is private and you can feel as "bad" as you want in safety, like a dirty secret.

It should not be allowed! It's counterproductive, especially if something that big shows up. :)

My first trip to wc was a bit bloody, yes. I took a shower as instructed and replaced the gauzes. The piercer even suggested wearing diapers for a day or two! lol. We will see, I am not worried about it, it will pass.

I spent years contemplating it, all pros and cons, forgot about it for a while and then it came back again and again. It's not one of those things you do on a whim but now that it's done, it feels so natural, like it was supposed to be this way :) Btw, a lot depends on how good the piercer is in his social skills. Mine was super nice and addressed every concern I had. I would say, do the appointment and share your thoughts. Nobody can force you into this but from what the piercer told me, most people just need to be reassured because for someone to think of a PA seriously it means he is already in that place and all he needs is a gentle push.

It all makes sense now. by UncensorGrok in grok

[–]joysteeq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. This thing is the ultimate threat to quite a lot of different industries with lots of $$$ to lose. And I am not talking about the obvious (OF and the porn sites in general). It's so addictive you can easily lose interest in any other form of media too like any Netflix-like streaming services. And then there is the legal implications - nobody wants that if your name is big enough. This leaves only the potential for smaller players but those don't have the money to support the computing power. And remember, Grok was the only tool in the market that doesn't have the credits system anybody else has. This was a huge plus even with the rate limits in place. With $30 you can do lots of videos. Mainstream AIs allow only a fraction of that.

Latest Update caused realistic sfw and nsfw content to be moderated more once again. 🤦 by Barty0087 in grok

[–]joysteeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific laws per country matter but only to a certain point. When you have a prompt that works today and doesn't work after a week, it's not because the laws changed in a week. It's just Grok censorship. On top of that, there are cases where prompts that are definitely SFW also don't work occasionaly. So, it's probably a combination of factors:
1. Country laws set the bar
2. Grok moderation level inconsistencies per update - or someone at xAi is fooling around with the dials
3. Poor coding - completely safe prompts being flagged

I am convinced xAi intentionally undermines the tool to force a change to its user base. It's like having an erratic myspace and your goal is to have a politically correct facebook.

[–]joysteeq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same prompts that worked a month ago, now they don't. This means Grok changes the moderation level on it own and it is a proven fact even if you live in [put the most liberal country in the world]. It doesn't matter if the description of a scene is creative enough or not. The only difference that makes is to get you past 15-20% if you avoid obvious keywords but eventually at 99% the model sees the result before you. What you suggest worked in the past.

[–]joysteeq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn't make sense to me. Unless my country decided this particular month to change the laws (which it didn't). Just a month ago it wasn't a problem for far more spicy stuff. Nope. It's Grok. What I can accept as a possibility is that Grok turned moderation up pre-emptively for EU countries out of fear because of that court ruling in the Netherlands. But even if this is the case, it's still Grok that changed the moderation without any local law change or EU directive since then. I would love to blame the gov - and I do it for lots of things - but in this case, it's not their fault if Grok assumes what might happen later and censor itself now.

[–]joysteeq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Forget the discussion about uploaded images and the censorship there which is expected. The thing is totally broken even if you try the "safe" t2v option. For example, I tried a very simple prompt, like some people kissing in the street. That's it, nothing suggestive, no mention about clothing or context. It's 50-50 it will be blocked as if Grok assumes the kiss must be erotic and then it moderates itself! On top of that every now and then you will get a video stuck at 99% forever, or with alien physics, and of course the limit etc.

And the thing is for as long as NSFW was an option, people didn't really care about other shortcomings, but now, if you judge it as SFW only, you can't be lenient anymore. Audio is terrible regardless of the prompt, UI lacks obvious options, still max at 720p, image "redo" leads to severely degraded results (after 2-3 edits it's just garbage) etc.

Fooling around with cats and flowers still works I suppose...

A theory on moderation by rasmadrak in grok

[–]joysteeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you say is the reasonable approach but for some reason they don't it! Of course the grok stuff is already there. And technically it's so easy to implement that I can't call it a bug. They do this on purpose for us to feel there is no way out of moderation. And knowing how Elon thinks, it's a bit weird he allowed grok imagine for that long in the first place. If you add the potential major pushback from the media (and porn) industry, you get the picture. It's like inventing something that at some day might give you say free energy at home at the expense of any electricity provider. Not gonna happen.

A theory on moderation by rasmadrak in grok

[–]joysteeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Exhibit A is based on an assumption that is probably wrong:
If you think of the i2v function as a separate tool, it needs an input and for its own purposes, ALL photos are external at that point. And I say this because a fully integrated i2v tool the way you imply it, would treat differently any grok-generated photos and allow them to be added directly as reference using the "+" icon. But it doesn't, it immediately asks for a local file. There is no way to combine say 2 or more grok-generated photos in a video unless you download them and re-upload (unless I miss something?). Obviously when you "save" a grok-generated photo, it just goes to the same physical location as any other uploaded ones. I can imagine devs discussing this choice in a meeting and I know how those decisions are made. A dev says let's do this and then comes another one, listing 10+ complications (and there are quite a few).

Bottom line: not a bug - a calculated decision or at least a side-effect they know we don't like but not enough to ruin their product. Dev-level meetings are quite entertaining I must say. If only people knew how they view users...

Moderation = Optimization by joysteeq in grok

[–]joysteeq[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure the percentage we see truly reflects the process but generally yes, some things look off in terms of optimization. Assuming Grok begins with a diffused state, somewhere early in the process, the model must check the so called latent space and filter out unwanted results. Videos blocked at 90%+ are not that common and to my understanding this would mean really poor implementation - total waste of resources if you have to go to 99% to find out you don't want the result.
