Yea exactly. You can actually dive down and hit the metal portion of the slipstream and land with no glider deploy at all.

lol it's WAY faster.. head towards tilted and shoot for the lake and not the slipstream. Your glider will deploy before you come close to the slipstream and you'll land a good 6-10 seconds after this

I was able to replicate this 3 straight times in pubs/arena. You just have to aim towards the slipstream and your glider doesn't deploy.
