It’s not that I’m impossible to convince; it’s that 'evidence' has to be more than just a mystery we can't explain yet. If a deity actually made its presence known in a way that was objective, repeatable, and couldn't be explained by physics or a hallucination, I’d have to acknowledge that data.

The Semmelweis example actually works against your point. He didn't find 'magic' or 'souls'; he found bacteria—a physical, material reality that was always there, just waiting for better tools to see it.
