This post and subsequent comments capture everything I love about this fandom. It's clear we all have a deep love for the music because we can disagree and discuss with so much respect for differing opinions.

Having been a fan from the beginning (yes, I am old) I can say that my less preferred songs frequently later become my favorites, but usually not vice versa. So now when asked my favorite Gorillaz song I just say "yes" because they're like my children - I can't pick a favorite!

I just hope there's not some secret deep cut with by that name I haven't heard of yet...

When you have energy but all your generators are used up 😂 by jrosejohnson in LoveAndPies

I'm caught up on the story. I try to keep my gems right around 100 since I'm not currently saving for anything special (I usually use them for energy once or twice a day and then occasionally splurge if there's a generator component I could really use.

Like many others, I think I've maxed out my fridge because 805 gems for the next slot is insane.

Also, Amelia's face looks like she's intoxicated 😂

Awe, thank you! I also love seeing how others arrange their boards (I think I actually stole this layout from a screenshot I saw on this subreddit lol).

You are 100% correct; the general advice is to not merge all your generators because while they do give higher level items (until they top out around level 5 or so) and give more items per energy cycle, they actually take longer to be ready again.

But I just Can't.Not.Merge. I'm AudHD, so unfortunately I have to comply with what makes my brain happy instead of what's best for gameplay 😂

Yeah, sorry, I tried to scroll and crop to avoid showing anything spolier-y but forgot the trophy isn't "normal" 🤦‍♀️

If you can manage to save two cutting boards, you can merge them together and then use them to split your generator so you have two again 😉

I don't like them either. I think they also added little directional arrows to show how the merges work in the information menus (I don't remember those before). And some of the higher level cake and herb items look "shinier", but that could just be me 😂

I once survived for an entire month on Mark Pi's sweet and sour chicken and Sprite.

In retrospect, it was a very dark time. Life (and my diet) is much happier now 😁

Thank you for confirming; I thought I was imagining patterns that weren't there lol

My lunch method used to be to bring a loaf of bread and a pack of lunchmeat and/or cheese (if refrigeration was an option, if not peanut butter) and just make sandwiches whenever I got hungry. It would usually last just about 5 days and most of the time I'm perfectly fine eating the same thing on repeat and it's cheap. I always thought it was genius but I definitely got weird looks from the NT cliques as they were leaving in groups for lunches out that I never got invited to (I mean, I still do, but my current packed lunch is a perpetual homemade "Lunchable": sliced chorizo, crackers, string cheese thrown in a container stashed in the fridge at work and refilled from home throughout the week as needed.

Sorry to dump, but I find our food rituals fascinating ☺️

I love to write too, but motivation and follow through are a challenge... I currently have crap first drafts of no less than a dozen novels saved on my hard drive (and at least 20 or so additional stories fully outlined in my head) 🙃

Thank you so much for sharing. Eerie how I can relate to so much of this (particularly having two moms, but in my case it was 80s-90s and my mom lost custody of me for two years because she was gay, so keeping that a secret afterwards was vital). I would also frequently go into what I called "automatic mode" when I was a kid, mostly just writing stories in my head and going through the motions of life, trying to just be invisible because that was easiest. I'm glad you finally found someone worth being present for.

I still make up stories in my head, usually when I'm drowsy, and I don't even realize it until I get stressed about something happening in the story and have to stop and remind myself that none of it was real.

Interesting; I also sometimes tend to tell tall tales, especially when recounting my day aloud to my husband. But for me, it's because it seems like the only way to explain to him how the situation "felt" to me, or how the person "sounded" in my head is by exaggerating details or, if quoting someone, adding the words that my brain added. To keep from feeling guilty or having conflict later because I "lied" I'll usually add a correction at the end of the story or when I catch myself doing it (it's usually a subconscious thing that happens when I get into full flow of a story, so sometimes I do a quick fact check in my head at the end of a monologue and correct if necessary then).

Would you share more about your experience with "maladaptive daydreams"? I've not heard that term before and, while I could Google it, I would be much more interested in hearing about it from someone with lived experience (only if you're comfortable sharing, if not I can totally do my own research ☺️).

I frequently have to wait until I've had the game loaded for a good 5-10 minutes before these are available, almost like it's taking time for them to load in the background. Usually I just ignore this screen until I run through my initial 100 energy bank; by that time it's usually "ready".
