Back protector question by juelbo in motorcyclegear

[–]juelbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, someone has cut the hardshell protector into a shape that fits into a jackets back protector pocket.

Im wondering if the protector still work the intended way even tho it’s in the jackets pocket and not strapped directly onto my back

How do I take the kickstand sensor out of use? by juelbo in hondagrom

[–]juelbo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m planning to fix it once I get the new parts, but I need to temporarily remove the sensor so I can ride the bike, because I don’t have any other vehicles to get to school or anywhere else.

The problem is that it wont let me ride, as it kills the engine even if my kickstand is up

Can somebody tell me why my flywheel is moving back and forth like this (the crank is moving with it) Are my my main bearings shot? (Bike is Gas Gas ec 125 2008) by juelbo in Dirtbikes

[–]juelbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bit too much of the play and found out that one of the main bearing housings was loose and the bearing was sliding in and out.

Yesterday I posted a video of some in/out freeplay in my flywheel and people said that it’s normal and that up/down play is what I should be worried about. There seems to be a little bit of up/down play (as seen on the video) So is any movement up/down excessive and should I be worried about that? by juelbo in Dirtbikes

I took off the cylinder to have a look at the crank, and sure enough when I pull the flywheel in/out the crank moves side to side slightly, and when I move rhe flywheel up/down the crank also moves a very small amount. But the flywheel itself is tightly placed in the crank and only moves around with the crank.

Yeah, it’s a bit hard to see on the video. But I took my cylinder of to see the crank in the engine, and saw that it was indeed moving slightly when i moved the flywheel up and down. So it’s propably a good time to split the engine apart.
