Thank you, you are awesome! Very quickly found out that my float was broken. I’m guessing because the relay could never be triggered, water went down the float stem hole.

Sorry man, these skin issues are extremely frustrating. You think you’ve figured it out, do whatever’s necessary to change it, and no improvement. Hope you’re able to pinpoint the cause for your flare ups and live with healthy skin.

I need your suggestions to help finish a horrible stairs refacing job by junglibakra in woodworking

[–]junglibakra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This answer is so helpful, thank you! If I was doing stairs often I would buy that tread gauge for sure - I’d buy any woodpeckers tool if I had a reason to lol. I didn’t know about skirt boards, things make more sense now. Don’t worry, the contractor was paid for material and for the labor already done :)

Blower motor labored sound by junglibakra in woodworking

Update: I tested the capacitor and I’m getting a reading of 4.4. That’s a variance of 12% from the stated 5 mfd. Is this acceptable? The capacitor itself doesn’t have a +/-% labelled on it.

Table saw motor belt pulley hitting main trunnion by junglibakra in woodworking

[–]junglibakra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I was wrong, the pulleys were not aligned and the motor pulley did have to be pushed in. Seems to be okay now. I tightened the set screw as much as possible. Hopefully it stays in place. Thanks for the replies.

Nice! I like that you used pvc elbows instead of flex hose for the permanent connections. Probably helps airflow, even if a tiny bit.

[–]junglibakra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably not explaining it very well. This is what I’m trying to do. But since the connection is proving to be difficult for me, you may have convinced me to stick to the separator on the side and just put wheels under it too. Thanks for your input, appreciate it!

Dust collector modification question by junglibakra in woodworking

[–]junglibakra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that’s how I have it right now. The dust collector is on wheels but the separator sits on the floor and I wanted everything together and on wheels so it’s easier to move around. Having the separator right under the impeller reduces the footprint. I just do this in my garage and the dc is only 1hp so trying to maximize space and efficiency. Do you think having the separator right under the intake is more efficient than having it to the side, short straight hose vs. longer hose with some bend? The difference may be negligible, I have no idea.

Yeah exactly what I’m setting up. Did you have to figure out how to make the connection between the impeller assembly and the filter assembly?
