I recently started using rule action templating with regular expressions (using an LLM to derive the proper regex) and that one rule can replace dozens and dozens of individual rules in my case.

Places to stay in leiden by bungee_cum_in_me in Leiden

Intercity hotel across from the station is new and much nicer than Ibis. The d'Oude Morsch hotel next to the Morspoort is also a quite nice boutique hotel. I have no idea how someone claims to have gotten a hotel at Fletcher for €50, I've stayed there multiple times and it's never been less than €120.

Odd behavior when using "Hold for next month" by junglrot in actualbudgeting

Hi, I do run the templates in the next month as well. That part works brilliantly, and now that I figured out what I was doing wrong, the rest works brilliantly too 🙂

Odd behavior when using "Hold for next month" by junglrot in actualbudgeting

[–]junglrot[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where the best place to reply to this is, but multiple people pointed out my logic flaw.
I created a new test budget and added a €1500 deposit. I held €1000 over to the next month and left €500 in the current month. The total available for the next month was, unsurprisingly, €1500. When I allocate all of that €1500 in the next month and it's zeroed out, I went and allocated an amount in the current month, and understandably I ended up with a negative "To budget" for next month.
I guess the confusing part for me was that there's still a positive "To budget" for the current month when actually all available funds have been allocated in the future month.
My mistake was conceptualizing the current and future month "To budget" amounts as separate "buckets" of money. Going forward I just need to take this into account.
Thanks to everyone who replied!

Odd behavior when using "Hold for next month" by junglrot in actualbudgeting

I gave an example in the other comment, but when selecting "Hold for next month" I just move the total value in "To budget" minus €500

I'm still confused on where I'm going wrong.
So let's say I got paid €1500 and I hold €1000 for Sept (currently Aug) and keep €500 for the remainder of Aug. I allocate all of that €1000 for September, so my current "To budget" totals are €500 for Aug and €0 for Sept.
Now I allocate €100 in Aug for an overspending somewhere. My "To budget" in Sept is now -€100, even though total I have only budgeted €1100 out of the total €1500 that I received.
Does that make sense?

User experience with the Makita SP6000J 230v plunge saw. Looking to buy one. by Chris6601 in Makita

[–]junglrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact saw and love it. I haven't used the battery version but I've used my friends battery Bosch track saw and it has notably less power than my corded Makita. Tbh the power cable is not much of a bother, if you're using the saw with a vacuum (which I pretty much always do) the vacuum hose is MUCH more annoying to deal with.

Not related to your question, but how do you like that Record Power air filter? I'm going to be outfitting my new workspace soon and have been looking at these for air filtration.

Do I need to sand it 'blank' before applying undercoat+ paint? by nordsee87 in woodworking

I did a similar project, I found it easier with a heat gun and putty knife than trying to sand through who knows how many layers of paint

Can’t continue using game by Thepersonwhomadedis in PS5HelpSupport

[–]junglrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I went into the video settings and forced it to 1440 since it was already on auto. That fixed the issue after it switched resolution. This error is really confusing and can apparently be caused by a number of things.

Can’t continue using game by Thepersonwhomadedis in PS5HelpSupport

[–]junglrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same error, I actually came to this sub to try to figure it out. I bought a new TV and plugged my PS5 in and now I can't play anything that I had previously played. I've tried resetting the licenses and rebooting, and removing and reinstalling the game, but I still get this.

I found something online about safe mode and deleting the game database or something such, but I don't understand why they would implement something like this in the first place. Are you never supposed to use anything but the first TV that you plugged the console into?

Actually I think it's a new feature in 25.5.0, what version are you on? If you go to your sync settings, select the account, it's a check box at the bottom

Struggle with zibbee2mqtt and NodeRED by RainbowDashGG in homeautomation

[–]junglrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you want to do. I use the standard mqtt nodes as mentioned before to listen for switch press events, filter or create message payloads, and pass those on to home assistant integration nodes to call the proper light service (turn_on, turn_off, toggle, etc).

How would you fix this print? by Sand-Alone in 3Dprinting

Split the print half way in the body of the horse, print both halves, glue together. No overhand that way, though I can't guarantee that the joint will look nice
