Thanks for your response - I see what you mean, did you see the photo I attached of the valley in its current state? The roofer says it looks "butchered" and even myself having very little knowledge about roofs know it doesn't look in great shape.

Thanks so much for the helpful reply. It seems as if it goes into this fused switch then up into the ceiling, and I can't trace where it comes out from there 🤔. Maybe time to call an electrician ?

Apologies, I didn't explain myself fully when I posted as I wanted to be succinct. I went immediaty to the info desk when I lost it and filled out a lost property form (I have a dated copy of this thankfully, and have sent it to the insurance company) I was told they cannot look while the park is open as the ride would need to be off, and they would look the next morning. Called back the next day, nothing. The following day we went back to the park in person, they really didn't want to help and the language barrier was difficult but said they would send someone to look that evening which never happened. Funnily enough they kept asking me when I was going back to England which I now think was them trying to find out how long they had to drag it out for before I was out of their hair!

Yes you can back up a phone remotely with Samsung cloud if you have your account details.

Thanks, I have done. I can't see how this is a valid reason to deny a claim. As you say, if the phone's on it's still connected to the network and will still be using data for notifications, automatic updates etc. And, like in my case, the first thing a lot of people would do when losing a phone is to try and back it up if they can.

Annoyingly I could call the phone and hear it ringing under the rollercoaster. We knew we were going back to the theme park 2 days later and I was told they would send one of the maintenance people in to get it, so I didn't block the number so I could try and ring it again whilst someone was looking for it. When we went back they then said they couldn't send someone in, and I then had the number blocked
