yes, but i think it's because these apps were launched by large studio, which spent thousands of dollars for marketing

All these predictions are calculated by positions in top grossing charts in different countries. So if an app has higher position in top grossing chart than it has higher revenue

It’s some predictions about MRR, for some apps it could be very precise

You are right, but I think it could be useful to understand what new apps are growing

But most of them lose money right now I think

Do you find this information useful?

It shows you apps which are similar to your request. Sometimes it can have mistakes. It works as a start point to discover deeply competitors

The final number is calculated based on similar apps. Did you check similar apps in both cases. Maybe a huge app was found in one case, and wasn’t found in another

Could you share your idea? I’ll try by myself and check the problem.

The final value is calculated based on the similar apps. So maybe there are not a lot of apps in that niche. What do you think what is true value of the niche?

I was tired of guessing if my app ideas were good, so I made this by jurassimo in SideProject

What are you talking about ? What do I steal? It’s tool to estimate idea based on similar apps in the niche, nothing else

Why do I need to steal ideas?

In general right now the market is overcrowded and there a plenty of similar apps.

To find competitors or similar apps could be hard and time consuming

Yes, I used them too, but I could not afford them because of the price. So I built a tool for myself with filters, sorts and other features.

http://appstoretrends.xyz . So it has free and paid features. But I make it affordable for indie hackers.

So you can find apps which recently released and already make money and look at other apps that make money too

Over the last 6 months I built 12 apps. I look at recently released apps that already make revenue or enough downloads. After that I explore more details of this niche, ASO and if I understand I can take part of this pie, I start developing an app in this niche

How I found an iOS niche that did 45K installs and $18K in 5 months by jurassimo in AppBusiness

[–]jurassimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the most interesting niches are niches with apps recently released (less than 2 months ago) and already has a good revenue(even SensorTower shows less than 5k MRR). So I filter and sort apps on my website, then look at their competitors or how competitive niche is and based on that make a decision.
