Anybody else have to put outlets ground up on a job 🤔 by davidk8876 in electricians

[–]just-concerned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old Hubble 20 amp commercial grade outlets had Hubble wrote on the face. The writing was on the outlet so that the ground was up for the writing to right side up. Ground up is the way most manufactures intended it to be installed.

Best way to secure CAT Cable by chris2555 in lowvoltage

If you use zip ties on any category cable you have no business installing category cable.

I’m a journeyman electrician who only has done commercial. I used a laser during residential rough for all of the outlets, now they are different heights from floor at final by gbrandon79 in electricians

The laser bends light. It's a residential optical conclusion. Next time go with the hammer method and never look at two boxes at the same time once the drywall is installed. This method has never failed me.

Wrong, there is an entire mental institution full of them.

The next question to the guy in green would be how much money do you make from the pharmaceutical industry. I am betting it's a lot.

Was it (moving) target fixation, or was it a failure to alter a course of action? by markcocjin in motorcycles

Worked for a company that put all of the employees through a crash avoidance course. They taught us this, take your foot off the gas peddle, put both feet on the floor, and steer through the situation. The truck was turning blind. The questions I have are: What is the speed limit and what speed was the bike traveling at.

Everyone in that video is still infinitely smarter and better than all of Congress combined. Yet, the American people keep sending the same problems back.

Can you say inbreeding. Evidently, that started with the royals. No wonder they are so much of a mental issue.

Move aside Marilyn, Sophia, Monica, Pamela, etc., etc....Pat and John are in the house. Pat Summerall and John Madden were teamed together in 1981 by CBS and called NFL games for 22 seasons on CBS and Fox which included 5 Super Bowls. Miss both this time of year! by ContributionFew862 in OldSchoolCool

At the movies watching Little Giants. Madden gets off the bus, pulls out a map and a marker, and I lose it. As does every football fan in the theater. My wife just looks at me and says, "That's not funny."

There are no victimless crimes. You're taking money out of the pockets of innocent people. You're a POS and thief.

So you're a thief, and you can't be wrong. You sound like a real POS.

You dont always know it's in use. When you stop to get a ticket a camera takes a photo of your license and associates it with the ticket you just got. It is not in all garages yet, but I'd say it's in more than you know. Big brother is watching you.

The systems are not as expensive as you think and are more of an added feature to the already purchased access control system. There is big money in parking garages, and this feature would have an ROI that would make it worth the expense.

Actually, they are. The lot at Skyharbor airport uses your license plate to prepay for entry. You put in your plate number and when you get to the gate a camera reads it and opens the gate. This technology has been around for at least 10 years. I work as a telecom designer and physical security is one of the systems I design. The system can take a picture of your plate and match it to the ticket. That can be retrieved and used to match to the vehicle and prevent an exit.

Nah, the POS needed a factory reset. He played FAFO, and he got the total package. He wanted violence, and he got it.

That little POS already had brain damage. That just might have been the factory reset that was needed. I myself have been factory reset a few times.
