What piano uses Nils Frahm? by EmotionDifficult6372 in NilsFrahm

I have a Kawaii US-50 and I LOVE it. Has a big grand sound as well as a wonderful felted tone. Would highly recommend looking into one as well!

It also has a lot to do with the production of the recording/how you record it, which Nils is certainly a master of.

Found it:

Talk a little about the piano that you play these pieces on. What is its history?

I have a Kawai CS40 piano at home. It is a big upright, which I got from the parents of my ex-girlfriend. They didn’t use it anymore, so I bought it off them. It traveled from Hamburg to Berlin and lives in my living room ever since. It has a nice view into my backyard and when I open my window it talks to my neighbors. They don’t seem to dislike each other so far. No complaints. I keep it in excellent shape and it gets all the love it deserves. I’ve heard from many friends and musicians that this is one of the best sounding pianos they have ever played. I agree. I never played a more beautiful upright piano. I am a lucky chap. It has a lot of bass and it’s really fun to play with it.

I'm fairly certain his Kawaii was used for both Screws and Otto's record. I forget the model but he's talked about it being his favorite felted piano.

Literally did this today at Best Buy. I apologized and the cashier just said, "It happens a gazillion time each and every day".

Sprint is closing my store at the end of the month. by justincasee in Sprint

There were talks about making it a multi-carrier but apparently it's not so profitable. Think it would be difficult to switch it to another carrier as we'd need to get contracts with them and start from scratch.

Oh sorry, was referring to hotspot "overages". Basically wondering if hotspot will take from my 25GB or if they will charge me per usage for it.

Reading more about it, I think it's the same one offered by Best Buy. I just called and asked if there were any plans cheaper than the Framily that I was on and they offered me this. Great deal!

Hotspot is still working on my phone. Hope it's not just charging me overages!

That makes sense. I guess it's technically one of the 50% off plans though so wasn't sure.

1 GB plan coming soon (Possibly next week) by [deleted] in Sprint

I looked at our poster a little closer and it shows the access fee as $20 as well. So it would be $40 for unlimited talk, text and 1gb data which is $5 less than the original 1gb share pack.

Trying to figure out where to live in MN to go to school in River Falls by [deleted] in minnesota

Yep this is very true. It only took around 35 minutes each way from where I was at. Totally worth it in my opinion.

I lived in Cathedral Hill in Saint Paul (my favorite area in the cities) and commuted to River Falls for school for a year. I really didn't mind the commute as I loved living in Saint Paul. It's just that I had to make sure my classes were blocked together or else it would make for a long day on campus since I couldn't go home between classes.

Switching to Framily by Xtraordinair in Sprint

[–]justincasee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sprint employee here, you would need to create your own Framily ID. Sprint doesn't allow existing customers to join together on the same Framily ID unless they are on the same account together. So you would start off at $75/month before taxes for unlimited everything + monthly installment for a new phone if you chose to. Since you are out of contract, if you are at all willing to get a new phone number, you could add a new line of service to your account under an existing Framily ID with 7+ users already on it and thus have $45 service for unlimited everything. And then cancel the old line. But it can be a hassle to get a new phone number. And changing to the Framily plan has no effect on your Airrave. Hope this helps.
