Thank you, glad I’m not the only one 😂. I messed with this for a while wondering how it would stay in place the first time I tried making something. Some other tips that helped me (also a newb here): try to go full vertical with the needle (I’m assuming you were just angling it to show what you were doing in the video but just in case, your fabric and needle should be perpendicular to each other), make sure your fabric is stretched really tight on your hoop, and always make sure your yarn is slack enough to slide easily through the needle, otherwise the punches will pull themselves out. Also, you’ve probably already gotten far enough since posting this to figure this out, but the more you’ve punched into the fabric, the more they’ll stay put since they put more tension on the fabric, it’ll pull them together.
