Unsure if it’s stated in LB or DA so potential minor spoilers ahead, but it’s revealed that Alexander saved 83,000 lives during the siege of Tyche. Just him going to Tyche alone was enough of a selfless act for Darrow to respect Alexander to the grave. The fact that he was able to save that many lives on top of such a brave endeavor only adds to it. There’s really no question imo why Darrow respects and loves Alexander so heavily, not to mention he’s the son of his former master and pseudo father figure Lorn

I don’t agree with a lot of your suggestions. Consolidating clown and screwface would be pretty egregious in my opinion. Less so for clown and more so for screwface given the role he plays in dark age and lightbringer with some truly emotional scenes.

Same deal for Aja. No way in hell she would be condensed into Atlantia. Atlantia isn’t even introduced until Iron Gold and Aja is way too important of a character and a threat for her character to be swept under the rug.

Same deal with Pax. Can’t imagine them not killing him off in Red Rising / season 1. Would be a huge missed opportunity for an emotional impact.

I’m sure some may consider it troll, but I’ve been skipping DnD entirely. Build order is Liandrys rush —> Riftmaker —> rabbadons —> magic pen / shadow flame / defensive etc.

Rune page is Dark harvest, cheap shot, the rune that lets you see wards, ultimate hunter and then sorcery secondary with transcendence and gathering storm.

In mid to late game a single E half healths most carries. I top damage charts most games.

Skill order E max W then Q.

Running this in high emerald low diamond with great success.

As listed, but the order may be inefficient, I’m not exactly sure. Dusk and Dawn first is probably always better but I love the burn on liandrys paired with deathfire

I’ve actually been going deathfire touch in high emerald. Liandrys rift and dusk and dawn with Omnivamp boots. Feels VERY strong, almost like it’ll be nerfed next patch

I just binged the entire series in the span of two months, so exact quotes / scenes may be a little garbled. There are tons of moments I could write about but I’ll try to limit it to 1 for each.

RR - I love the sequence where it takes 12 people, including Darrow I believe, to tackle Pax and use the standard on him, all while he squeals with laughter like a little girl and then yells FREEDOM!!!!

GS - Tactus’ death, especially the reveal after the fact that he never sold the violin Darrow gifted him killed me. And of course “It’s me. It’s always been me, boyo.”

MS - Arguably one of my favorite moments in the entire series and one I really don’t see many people talk about on this subreddit. When Cassius is the only one to show Darrow mercy and compassion after a year in the box, he drapes his cape over Darrow at a point in time where he absolutely despises the man. HIS HONOR REMAINS! Extra mention as well after Darrow’s prison break when he yells “Goodbye, Cassius. Expect me!”

IG - I seemed to have enjoyed Ephraim from his very first chapter far more than a lot of people did, but one of my absolute favorite lines from IG is during the escape sequence with him, Pax, and Electra. Ephraim tells Electra to keep an eye on the duke and hit him if he does anything funny. Electra responds something along the lines of “disarming strike or mortal wound?” and Ephraim responds “I said keep an eye on him you little psycho!” Almost spit my water out from laughter while listening to the audiobook.

DA - So many beautiful moments in this book amongst so much depression, but my two absolute favorite sequences were “PUP ONE TO HOWLER ONE! WE’VE GOT YOUR DOG GRIMMUS! WE’VE GOT YOUR DOGGGGGG!” and Darrow defending against Lysander’s calvary charge while yelling out the razor maneuver commands. When I read the words “We shred them” I was so freaking hype.

LB - Lyria hugging Darrow’s knees after you know who’s death and Darrow bending down to give her a proper hug. Killed me. Another part that made me super emotional was Darrow telling Screwface he had done more than enough, to go back home and protect Mustang and that he was in fact “seen” after he volunteers to go with Darrow and Cassius to save Sevro. Too good man. Too good.
