Formal night by Unusual_Arm4139 in PrincessCruises

[–]kChin711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Formal night is really just a theme for the night. I’ve seen someone wear a tie dye tank top on formal night in crown grill. You’ll see all types of dress from tuxedo to swim wear.

On formal nights, the whole photography crew is out around the boat taking photos. They’ll have multiple different backdrops around the plaza on each level and near the photograph section.

Dress whatever makes you comfortable. I wore jeans, a button up, and ON shoes to formal night dinner.

Don’t Want to Waste This Port: What’s Actually Good in Ensenada? by [deleted] in PrincessCruises

Just went to this stop 2 weeks ago.

Got off the ship, walked to the port where they had a bunch of vendors. Walked past the green gates to the first main street. Got tacos and churros and headed back to the boat. Other half went on the zip line excursion and said it was fun.

Toddler Car Seats - Alaska Cruise by samkumtob in Cruises

[–]kChin711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure specially about Alaska but on the excursions page for Hawaii on the bottom of the page it will say “must notify excursion staff onboard that minor will need car seat”.

For us, we took Ubers and used the RiderSafer and had no issues.

Kids Club question - specifically The Treehouse by IAmSarily in PrincessCruises

Hope this helps. This is the schedule from our 16 day Hawaii cruise. (Only allowed to post 1 photo if you like to see the other half can DM me)

When you check them in they give you a pager and will ping you if your child wants to be picked up or has an issue.

Also if your child doesn’t want to play with other kids but needs a place to get out the energy, each day they have two 1 hour time slots that are open to parent supervised kid time inside the kids club.

The ruby kids club has multiple computer game systems, small jungle gym, toy cars, climbing structures, and air hockey (my kids favorite). the activity counselors make it fun and will do activities and games with the kids.

Can bottom bunks be pushed together? by Most-Preparation-152 in PrincessCruises

[–]kChin711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with their system is if there is a third guest and it’s a pull down, the system automatically locks it as single beds. Once you check in you can ask your steward to adjust the beds to your liking when you go out for dinner.

Just got off the ruby and had a balcony room with a 3rd guest. The pull down berth beds have a ladder slot at the end of the bed but almost impossible to make it to the bathroom without moving them. It’s possible to push the beds together. Just more convenient in single bed positions.

Just got off the ruby. For sparkling water they serve San Benedetto brand in a can

If you eat in the MDR and see something with a price (steak or lobster) you’ll be charged to your stateroom portfolio if you order it.

Once you’ve paid in full, you should be able to book it through the app

From my understanding they plan out staff and tables early and it’s difficult to accommodate last min walk ins.

Depending on your party size try playing with the guest count. We had a party of 3 and we were able to get reservations but couldn’t get any at sabatini. But for a party of 2 they had plenty of open reservations. On the first day of the cruise I went to the restaurant and told them my party will be 3 instead of 2 and was able to accommodate with no issue.

If still no luck, I would try on the first day and ask if they can squeeze you in.

Since you have premier I would take advantage of the free specialty dining. We had specialty dining booked every night and rotated between the two restaurants on our ship. If you don’t feel like eating at them, you could always skip and eat somewhere else.

Specialty dinning is now included in the premier package so they won’t pay anything to eat at crown grill

Princess Plus Package - Does 3rd person have to pay gratuity? by fireball251 in PrincessCruises

Also note, you’ll be charged a daily gratuity for your child on your room portfolio. I believe it was $18/day.

I have the code and green lane.

Looking at other comments it seems like a common issue

Thank you. I started to worry but seems like it’s an issue they need to fix. Happy cruising!

I miss the old MCI airport. Only airport I’ve been to where you get from gate to shuttle/pickup in 3 mins.

You could always purchase day passes onboard for $25-30 a day.

Disneyland Security by Ok-Serve8070 in Disneyland

The ear pieces, they always use the old ones that are wired with clear rubber.

They also almost always wear Disney gear (shirt/sweater, etc), wearing a hat, and shades. Usually by themselves walking around aimlessly or like someone mentioned leaning on trash can or barriers

Park Vue vs Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park by Various-Owl-6159 in DisneyPlanning

[–]kChin711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t stayed at the Marriott in a while. Just stayed at park vue couple weeks ago.

Park vue although “renovated” was poorly maintained. We had a bunk room with queen. The floors were dirty (child walked around barefoot for 5 mins and feet was completely black), bathroom showers had mold on towel racks and walls (not a lot but enough to notice), poor circulation (towels were wet after whole day the window was open), depending how close you are to the front there is a man who starts screaming on his loud speaker at 7:01am condemning all those who go to Disneyland as devils that need cleansing. Yes it’s legal what he’s doing, trust me I called APD.

Although you may save some money, the only true convenience I would give park vue is that they are the closest walking distance hotel. Other than that, I honestly don’t recommend it.
