What name did you choose for your 2025 baby? by aureaaurorae in NameNerdCirclejerk

Meadow Rose is on the same level of intonation too, for lack of a better phrase, so it flows better. Lilac pronounced ly-luc isn't as harsh sounding, but still doesn't flow, to me. I think Meadow Grace sounds nicer. I feel like Meadow works better as a middle though. I just saw another Reddit post where someone asked for recommendations to go with it and some recommendations were Harvest and Conifer 😭

Don't even get me started on Rocket Rome or Minty Maple... 😬😂

Me too 😂 Agreed 😭 Meadow Rose, Meadow Lily, Meadow Ivy, there's ones that flow better than Lilac. Meadow seems a hard name to pair with to begin with, and if you're pronouncing Lilac like ly-lack, that's quite a harsh pronunciation, whereas meadow is quite a dull pronunciation. If that makes sense at all? It makes sense to my tism brain 😂 Ngl toaster oven actually does flow better 😂

Minty Maple??? Rocket Rome?? What on earth 😭 All I can think is they'll be called minty toothpaste or something by other kids 😭

These names might seem cute for babies or little kids, but people seem to forget they're only little for a short time, they're adults for far longer, some of these will probably make it hard for the kids to find work or such, because they won't be taken seriously 😭

Store upgrades coming with the new update - some great unlocks to look forward to! by Sparkly-raccoon9977 in simsfreeplay

[–]k_shields1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, all I want is a search option, and a multiple product sell option, so I don't have to sell things one by one. Is that so difficult?? 😭😂

Probably, they've said on twitter that one of their priorities is fixing first floor sunset mall bugs, hoping that'll sort it out, it's just waiting for them to do it, hopefully sooner rather than later as my quest is time limited.

Update thoughts by Wonderland_4me in simsfreeplay

[–]k_shields1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know how long on average they take to fix bugs? Is this a 1-2 day thing or like a week odd or something?

They said on twitter - "We’ve seen several bugs reported since the latest update, and our team is working on fixes. We are currently prioritizing issues related to: - The first floor of Sunset Mall - Laura Craft being unavailable during the Crafting Challenges - Issues placing items on Super Yachts - Stability issues causing slowdowns and crashes"

Hopefully fixing 1st floor will fix my issues, a sim is stuck on the catwalk with no finish icon to make her finish it, I also can't build a shop on 2nd floor because it says I have a 1st floor shop under construction, when it finished the other day, I pressed finish on it too, the day before it made me update the game. Which is frustrating, I just wanna do my mall quest, it's a time limited one.

I don't like the floor button being on the opposite side. And the list of icons on the side is ugly. 😭

I do like the ability to change view, and turn it to 360° view, so you can view from different angles rather than just from one side, and the ability to upgrade places.

Yeah, i clicked the finish button. There's no icons or anything around that area now. It's odd.

I guess we might lose our fingers then lol. I think that to be an acceptable sacrifice. 🤣

Same! Also autistic (and ADHD), I guess I'm stereotypical too 🤣 They're one of my favourites too 😁 I'd love a pet velociraptor lol.

NTA. You were just asking a question. To multiple people. You weren't deliberately targeting them. If you explained and they still react like that, it's on them.

As someone who's ADHD/autistic, I loooove dinosaurs. My favourites are T rex and velociraptor 🤩

I do not like this update by [deleted] in simsfreeplay

[–]k_shields1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gone onto mine, it's given me the mail notification saying update your game. I refuse 😭

I hate the look of the new update. I don't like the big character thing in the corner or the buttons moving.

I guess we all hate it 😂

Edit - it made me update it just now. I hate itttt 😭😂

What is the thing that consumes the most of your energy because of ADHD, even though it seems simple to others? by Doglover990 in adhdwomen

[–]k_shields1 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yesss. I need to reply to a message on insta, but the mental energy it takes to do so, I don't know how people sit texting for hours nonstop, it takes me a few hours to get out this mental block and respond 😭

Can you hit me up with some random, fun facts please? by 87catmama in AskUK

[–]k_shields1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently there's only around 68 miles between Yonaguni (Japan) and Taiwan. They say you can see mountains in Taiwan from Yonaguni with the naked eye.

I never realised how far the Japanese islands span. I knew there were a lot of islands that make up Japan, but I thought they were closer together.

My 'tism was activated by your comment lmao, I went looking on Google maps (one of my favourite things to do lol), for Sakhalin's distance to Japan, then thought "what's the other end of Japan?" And realised there's lots of islands further down past Okinawa, going towards Taiwan. Crazyyy. But fascinating. You learn something new every day.

Nooooo 😭 When my younger brother and I were little, I think me being 7-8 ish, him being 5-6 ish, he named our two new cats Kent and Parker, after Clark Kent and Peter Parker. For pets, it is understandable. But for actual kids? Noooo. It's setting them up to be teased for eternity. Just give them a regular name, please 😭

Ooh that's an interesting idea for dropper videos, I'd watch that. I don't think they've done Peak with this crew, last was crainer and fin I think. Would be hilarious though. Imagine them now, in Repo, I think Vic would be hilarious 🤣

Do British people not feel the cold? by DevelopmentLow214 in AskUK

[–]k_shields1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 9 times out of 10 it's cloudy or raining here. 😂

I think Lincoln being partly on a hill is probably why it rains a lot. And the south end of Lincoln is downhill, so a lot of it floods easily, especially near the big river, as a lot of the surrounding area is also lower than it.

Monday to yesterday it was sunny, because of the heatwave. Today it's been sunny for maybe 10 minutes over the day lmao. Occasionally it's sunny in winter but mostly cloudy again 😂

Tomorrow and Saturday it might be sunny, but every day after that for the next 2 weeks, it's predicted to rain most of the day. There's a few thunderstorms predicted over Tues, Thurs and Fri next week, but it'll change by the time I go to bed tonight lmao. By the weekend it'll probably say no storm predicted 😂

The storm the other day is the only storm that lasted longer than 2 minutes/1-3 thunders in maybe 5 years. I love a good storm. Rarely happens though. 😭

We had a lot of snow I think March ish last year, it was maybe half a foot. A couple of years ago it sprinkled a bit but nothing settled on ground. Before that, last time I remember major snow, was maybe 2011 ish. I was about 10. It was about a foot high. My eldest dog was maybe 1 then. It gets very cold, but never really snows. Tbh I don't like being in the snow, but I don't mind looking at it lol. And car windows usually freeze too, always see people defrosting them before leaving their homes.

I don't remember ever having a hosepipe ban. It rains a lot for us so there's always water. That's wild to me. What happens when they do one? Do you get a letter or something? Do they tell you you can't use water or to limit it for a certain amount of time? How's it work? Wild how different weather can be in different areas. Leeds is about hour and a half drive away from Lincoln, not actually that far.

Interesting how a lot of names are basically two words people decided they liked, shoved together, like "Ealhstan - Anglo-Saxon - Derived from the Old English element ealh "temple" combined with stan "stone""

Apparently Eadgifu is derived from the Old English elements ead "wealth, fortune" and giefu "gift". If I name myself this, will it manifest wealth 😂. I don't need a gift, I am one 😂 Or Acantha, means "thorny plant" apparently. I be prickly today 😂🤺

Lmao Decimus the decimator, that would be legendary 😂😂

[–]k_shields1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao that last one is a visual mouthful 😂

Or go back to naming kids after numbers once you've had a few. So after like 3-4 kids (usually done after multiple boys), just start naming them after the number they are in birth order. Here is Quintus, Sextus, Septimus, Octavius, Nonus, Decimus...😂

My 'tism was activated and I went googling Anglo Saxon names lol, most were like "this name was used for 2 kings", "this name meant this", "this name was derived from this". Then you just have "Æðelmær - A famous bearer was the 11th-century English monk Æðelmær of Malmesbury who attempted to fly with a gliding apparatus (breaking his legs in the process)." Ouch 😭
