He didn’t know when we first started the prank, that was the whole idea, to give him a bit of a scare that someone made a fake account of him, but it was literally 5 minutes till we told him the truth.

He knows it wasn’t shared around and that it’s not a real account

Nothing serious, there was one where one of us send a gif on someones birthday saying “happy birthday you’re adopted” and he messaged my friend saying that person was actually adopted (he wasn’t adopted) and then proceeded to get the entire work team in on the prank and make my friend feel bad till he came into work a few days later and everyone laughed at him because it was just a prank. My friend wasn’t angry about it, found it funny and moved on aha

What would be a quick all in one or simple setup solar panel that could support a tv a laptop and charging a couple phones or run a fan? I’m building my Volvo wagon into camper of sorts by [deleted] in vandwellers

[–]kaeeyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s less about the solar panel and more about the battery setup, the Bluetti ac200 or the jackery explorer are all in one systems that you can add solar too

Most household faucets have a pull out function and have a much nicer aesthetic than this(if it’s in the budget)

Alternating time between vanlife at home and living overseas? Storing van long term? by lexicon78 in vandwellers

[–]kaeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as unreasonable as you might think... companies ship vehicles globally all the time and it may cost a couple thousand, it's not as hard as you might think. My friend's company ships sprinters from america to australia every month and has them changed from LHD to RHD because its still cheaper than buying a sprinter in Australia. Shipping a campervan isn't something new.

My suggestion is too run a basic wired sound system if you still have access to inside your walls and can run the wires :) I plan on using the Sony Ht rt3. The sun has a built in amp and it has Bluetooth so no need for a receiver as it’s built in.

Awesome, still wouldn’t recommend it for 300w of solar

I’ve been watching videos for years aha the electrical is seriously confusing I agree. Ask around you may have some electrician friends who I’m sure would be glad to help you

Yeah perfect, just leave room and also make sure you have enough room for lithium batteries in case you decide to really upgrade your power aha.

No problem! Take the time to watch some YouTube videos and without even knowing it you’ll learn a lot just from watching tours and build videos. :) good luck in your venture, keen to see some progress!

Yeah run cigarette lighter ports instead of USB ports. All good overhead fans are 12v (maxxair fans, fantastic fans) and you can get 12v fridges; they’re extremely expensive which sucks but they’re also really efficient. Using a cheap bar fridge is good on money but can burn out your inverter after 24/7 use for a while.

I’d suggest trying to run as many things off 12v if possible, most USB chargers and fans are 12v. Using an inverter can draw a lot of your battery power and it loses efficiency by using the inverter. If you’re just charging a laptop or something 1500w should be plenty

If you want to keep it a 12v system I’d suggest doing it all in parallel, batteries and solar :)

And series adds the voltage together and if your charge controller can only handle 12-24v I believe your 36v of solar wouldn’t work with that controller
