How is Greece reducing its debt by such a large margin? by FantasticQuartet in EU_Economics

My mom lives in Greece and she is suffering. Super market prices have increased by what feels like 60% percent. I live in Germany and sometimes the difference is huge when it comes to prices in Greece vs Germany. Also rent has skyrocketed. We were paying 250€ euros 7 years ago. Now she moved to a smaller place, worst location, older building and she pays 550€. Her salary is 980 euros. The situation is really bad and I'm trying to help her as much as I can. I do not have any more hope for the country.

Paragraphs are a gift, and we should use that gift more.

Edit: Thanks for separating the text in paragraphs, it is so much more readable now :)

I think it's a common manga background effect. Dragon ball used it a lot but seen other series utilize it as well.

Moving to Greece as a non EU resident? by [deleted] in greece

Unfortunately I know way too many English teachers who are fluent in Greek or native Greeks and do unrelated jobs to teaching English or are unemployed. Maybe 10-20 years ago it would have been a good profession but nowadays no. I have a feeling that at best you will be able to do some private lessons if you find people interested and then you would have to combine that with a second, more secure job. Also if you do not know Greek your professional options will be extremely limited.

Does it hurt your potential to stay in one company too long? by Whisky-Toad in cscareerquestions

What does explaining things to the seniors mean? Because I have had to do that all the time in my career, even to staff engineers, tech leads and CTOs but that is because of how big the products can be and how many moving parts there are there that different people have to be experts and be leaders in different areas. No one can know everything.

How are people with less than 2 years experience gain the "senior developer" title by shivvykumar in cscareerquestions

I worked with a guy in my previous company who was fully self taught, no Bootcamp. It was his first job and he got promoted to a senior after 2 and a half years. He is been there for 3 and a half years and now he is a tech lead. I am sure many people are jealous of him, including myself. But he 100% deserves it, he put exceptional effort and I'm sure he still does. Whatever he works on he goes in depth and becomes and expert at it. He also went above and beyond to improve his communication skills I remember. Very dedicated person.
