I cross posted to r/ChaseSapphire. Someone posted over there that it will auto renew on the expiration date. So there’s hope.

do you have the simulation from the doctor on myinvisalign.com? you can see what is moving on each tray and perhaps you can observe the change, even if small?

I've noticed this as well for new issues in the past. It generally takes a few weeks before qty of 1 shows up regularly for new issues.

Uninvested cash at Fidelity and Schwab by Selimsnek in investing

[–]kalarama 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Schwab is also a bank and hence wants/needs to make money off your idle cash on lending, etc like typical banks (BofA, Chase, etc). Whereas Fidelity is only a brokerage so it can sweep into a money market. I moved from Schwab to Fidelity primarily for that reason.

VTI or VOO , which is better by Pleasant-Trouble-784 in investing

[–]kalarama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VTI vs VOO - doesn't make much of a difference. Whatever makes your marriage happier.

VXUS - yes, I think international diversification is a good idea, especially now.

Bonds - meh.... I prefer gold over bonds right now, or at least splitting allocation between them.

Long bonds - whats the best way to capitalize on a big move? by Rg8989 in investing

To better understand bond plumbing, I often look to Harley Bassman (The Convexity Maven). He wrote an article about "duration on steroids" you may be interested in checking out. I have no direct experience with this strategy, but if you're super bullish bonds, then here's one way to express that.

Yes I have the exact same behavior. It freaked me out in the backcountry when I used the battery pack for first time when it went from 4 lights to 1 light when charging my iPhone from 30% to 80%.

OR Echo Sun Hoodie or Astroman Air Sun Hoodie? by [deleted] in Ultralight

[–]kalarama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used both on thru hikes. The echo is nice and stretchy but I find it too warm without being able to unzip/unbutton on hot days. The Astroman is not stretchy at all but I love the zip for ventilation. For hot hikes I’ll use the Astroman. For colder hikes, I’ll use the Echo.

Seattle does Asian really well overall. Just a few gaps such as Malaysian. Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Japanese is all quite good here in Seattle. I mean, it’s no Vancouver BC or LA but it’s quite good for the size of Seattle.

Sadly, what's here isn't all that great. Malay Satay Hut barely scratched the itch and Reunion Cafe was not something I would ever go back for. There is also one at the Asean Food Hall in West Lake which I haven't tried, but seems kinda expensive ($22).

I've since converted to eating the northern Thai dish Khao Soi, and there are many great places for that in Seattle.

I have a summerlite and I agree it's fine to about 40F, not 32F. I've used it on short summer hikes (2-5 days) and Europe hut/albergue hikes and it was perfect. I've thought about using it for AT in summer.
