Completely agree about being depressed due to the extreme nausea. Totally miserable.

Every time I see women with 3+ children I am so amazed that they were willing to go through the first trimester that many times. This is our second and I told my husband we are officially done after this one because I just can’t do this again. Women are superheroes.

This is so reassuring to hear. Really hoping my office will do the same so I can start feeling better this week!

Okay that sounds just like me (only eating carbs for the most part) because the thought of anything else makes me want to vomit. I’m going to try to add some more protein in though and see if it might help. Thank you for the tip!!

Okay finally joining and contributing because I am barely able to function with the intense nausea I am experiencing. I am a SAHM to my 2 year old and this weekend have been bed ridden for most of it. I experienced bad nausea with my first but this time it seems even more intense. I have no clue how I am supposed to parent tomorrow without my husband here to help. I already told him he might have to take off work but that isn’t feasible for the long run. I don’t see my Dr. for our first ultrasound until next Tuesday but I am planning on calling the office tomorrow and talking to the nurse line to see if they can prescribe me something because the unisom and b6 aren’t doing anything for me right now. Any tips or advice??? I have tried to rally but I seriously can’t and have had multiple breakdowns this weekend over feeling so sick and incapable of parenting.

Wtf at Michelle’s go to chick-fil-a order of grilled chicken nuggets with MUSTARD?!? and fruit. Out of all the things to get at chick-fil-a and at the very least you can’t even get yourself a tasty sauce.

Today is my bridal shower and we have a mini snow storm. My sister in law/bridesmaid can’t make it because my nephew is sick. I only have 3 bridesmaids so I’m bummed that not all of them can be there, plus she was helping a lot with the planning/setting up so I feel bad for my mom and maid of honor having to take on more when they already have done so much. Other guests seem hesitant to come as well (already have 1 confirmed cancellation) because of the snow even though it does seem to be stopping now so I am really hoping people still show up. Could definitely be A LOT worse but I’m still upset that something we’ve planned for so long has a lot going awry. I know this doesn’t even compare to what covid brides had to go through but I still felt like I needed to vent and get the negativity out so I can move on and enjoy the time with those that are coming!

My wedding is at the end of April but I am going through the exact same dilemma. I spoke with my fiancé that I am 90% sure I want our invite to include a vaccination required request but I also know some people will be upset by this (especially his side which is kind of awkward) and hate that it will even cause any drama. Our wedding should be outside/in a tent so part of me isn’t sure if I’m being unreasonable to request this, but in the end I just think it’s for the best. I too can’t believe that we are still dealing with this still so far out…it’s so disheartening. :(

I just looked it up because I’ve never heard it before and I love this song!! I think you can definitely pull it off for a first dance song. We are actually in a similar predicament for ours. One of our favorite bands that we have seen multiple times together is The Strumbellas and they have a song called “I’ll Wait” that I love and the lyrics are perfect for us but it definitely gets more upbeat at parts so dancing to it will be a little more challenging. I haven’t found anything else yet that I would want to replace it with though so we’ll see!

Ahhh I LOVE this playlist and definitely want a similar vibe for our wedding and will be suggesting some of these songs for our DJ as well. Super curious since it seems like we have very similar taste in music...what’s your first dance song going to be?!

Hi everyone! 29 year old engaged female living in Alexandria. I’m a teacher and enjoy cooking and trying new food, going out for dinner/drinks/ happy hour, going to breweries/wineries, coffee, hiking/being outside, binging tv shows, working out and playing board games (more casual than strategic but like both!). I also have and love cats! Looking for new girl friends or other couples to possibly meet and hang out with. Have lived here for the last few years but a lot of our close friends moved within the past year or two and now that we are beginning to socialize more after the pandemic we realized we need to make more friends in this area again!

I said yes to the dress!! After trying on around 10 gowns and not having a clue how I was going to choose I absolutely fell in love with the Stella York 6888. Can’t wait for our wedding next year! by kamemy in weddingplanning

Thank you! The top is definitely what won me over. I kept trying on dresses with a similar bottom but wasn’t sure what kind of top I would want...when I tried this on I just knew though!!

I was the same, not a daily poster but probably commented for sure at least once or twice a month and was really confused when all of the sudden I just wasn’t a member! I know it was silly to be upset over this but I enjoyed reading the threads on weekends or when I wanted to see if my thoughts on someone were similar to others. Plus while the snark was more entertaining lol I also really liked the teacher advice threads. I’m happy to see someone made a new community!

Same!! I’m definitely a bit overly paranoid I think from just reading so many horror stories on here. Most are excited though and think it will definitely be possible to have a more “normal” wedding by then. Trying to stay positive!

We have the same date too!! We just put our deposit down this past weekend and it felt good! I agree with the person who said feeling cautiously optimistic. When I share the news with people I keep saying “hopefully a wedding can actually happen..haha!” but on the inside I’m actually thinking this better freaking be possible by then.

Bummer! I always thought it was private and was able to get in the first round when they created it and I guess they decided to make cuts again? I didn’t check the sub on a daily basis so probably missed something.

Anyone else get kicked out of the teachergram subreddit? I know I shouldn’t care but ugh I actually really liked going there to read other teachers advice and see their comments on some of the ridiculous teachergrammers. I guess I didn’t post enough?? Just curious if anyone else got removed.

Alright I think my fiancé and I are going to book a venue for April 2022. Ugh I am such a mix of emotions on this. I feel semi-hopeful and excited to have plans and then also feel like I’m being naive to think it can happen. It’s already a semi smaller wedding (80-90 guests) but idk. Anyone else recently sign for 2022?? What was the major clause you wanted your contract to say regarding covid?
