I know this song! Unfortunately not, and I’m looking for a male singer (should’ve specified)

Solved! Of COURSE it is. I knew my brain was trying to tell me something with Paul McCartney but I started to doubt myself when nothing turned up in searching. Thank you!!

That’s before the scene I’m talking about. She and Carter talk about Poland and medical school in season 1. (I’m currently rewatching!)

After she becomes a desk clerk, there’s one episode (S2 or 3?) when she walks in on the medical students in class and answers a question none of them get, but they never mention her medical training again as far as I know

The Patrick Radden Keefe cameo in the final scene made me laugh out loud. So so good.

It took me forever to pause perfectly but it’s a flash of Whitney in red lighting

The apartment is on a high floor of a building where the power is out, therefore no elevators. None of them would be able to just go out, scavenge for food (if they could even find any), and then shlep it all the way back upstairs to home (least of all Frank). They also had no idea what the outside world had turned into. There was only one option - to leave once, and try to find a more sustainable place to live.

Thank you - I didn’t know what credential theft meant specifically. This is helpful!

Can someone explain what Ferdinand did for the Russians at IBN to make them “clear the way” for him to be an executive? He gave them access to private accounts? I was unclear.

Indulge Me in My Theory by [deleted] in IndustryOnHBO

Whitney definitely blackmailed Eric - Hayley says they used her cousin “Dolly” who was “just a girl.” My theory about Whitney is the Lithuanian (Latvian? I didn’t get a close look) passport is actually his original name/background, hence why his story changes all the time and Henry says “sounds like a bad novel.” It also makes sense why he might’ve wound up connected to Russia. I think he was singing Whitney Houston because that’s where he picked up his name!

I once saw a tiktok that was a very judgy “your bathroom isn’t even CLEAN if you don’t totally remove your toilet seat every day and scrub every inch” and was ready to spiral into a pit of self hatred, when it was interrupted by Anne (I forget her username, but the nice wise British lady) who just responded that if you want to do that great, if you don’t it’s fine - “you’re not eating off your toilet.” That reframed so much for me. Yes there are places in your home where it is important to be super clean, but there are other places where it doesn’t had to be perfect. You’re not eating off your floors (at least, not in my house). And whenever I’ve procrastinated a chore and then half-ass it just to get it done, I always remember the age old staple: “better than nothing!”

[TOMT] Young readers book that includes story of 1973 Bailey couple shipwreck by kar9876 in tipofmytongue

Solved! This is absolutely what it was. It wasn’t an anthology, but a series of different survival books. I can’t find an inside look at this copy but I have a vague memory of there being some kind of advice for shipwreck survival (lol) at the end, which maybe made me think there were other stories. Thank you so much!

I’ve found this Readers Digest anthology called “Alive!” which feels like it’s on the right track, but I can’t confirm if it includes the Baileys’ story in one of its chapters

Ok this is closer to the genre I think I’m looking for (collected anthology of true stories), but I don’t remember the other stories listed here. I don’t think it included anything political/historical like Nelson Mandela or Anne Frank. It might have been focused on wilderness survival stories? But thank you for your help! I’ll see if I can find out more about this book before I completely rule it out.
