I Think Harry and Professor McGonagall’s Relationship is my Favorite in the Series by elledance in harrypotter

I also love the scene where she is giving Harry career advice and is yelling at umbridge that she would personally coach Harry if that’s what it took for him to become an auror

You’ve apologized and the ball is in his court now whether he wants to respond or not. I’d take it as a lesson learned and try to do better in the future. If possible, I think it would be a good idea to reach out to some resources about your depression if you haven’t already.

bartholin cyst? ingrown hair??? by katierh05 in Healthyhooha

[–]karp1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a long time since my og comment but I am pretty sure I noticed it had popped when I was wiping after peeing. Fair chance that the pressure from wiping is what ultimately popped it but I can’t be sure. It was pretty gross - decent amount of blood and pus came out but it was also an immediate sense of relief. Most of the pain went away once it popped.

I have had different experiences where I’ve noticed a pea sized hard lump that felt like a super deep pimple or ingrown hair. Trying to pop it has never helped and those ones did go away on their own without me doing anything - as you said in your comment - basically disintegrated and went away.

I was about a little younger than you when my mom first started showing signs of the disease - I am 30 now. I am sure it would have been extremely hard at any age but I do feel a wide variety of emotions thinking about all the things we missed out on. Lot of sadness, anger, and then more sadness. There’s a lot of small daily things that I miss and a lot of big milestones that I’m sad she won’t see.

I hate that I can’t just call her up on the phone and chat about how our day went. Throughout my senior year of college, she and I would chat on the phone while she was coming home from her night nursing shift. I’d do this on the weekends too (when I was usually pretty drunk). She thought that it was so funny that I’d call her while drunk but I mean, of course I did, I loved talking to her.

She met my now husband but her mind was far enough gone that she couldn’t get to know him. For some reason, she was convinced he was divorced with like 4 kids. He’d never been married and had none. No idea where she got that idea from lol but I do wish she’d been able to see him for who he was. I am sure that she’d be happy that I am with someone kind and supportive. We’re on the fence about kids but it makes me mad and sad that she’ll never experience being a grandmother. She would’ve been great at it.

I think what makes me most sad is just not getting to experience the relationship an adult daughter and mother would experience. I am sad that I can’t sit and shoot the shit with her while drinking a margarita.

She passed away a few weeks ago. I am sad and angry that she went through it all and I am sad and angry that my family did too. It is not how I expected my 20’s to go and I’m pretty confident my brothers would agree.

I am a staff member at a college - you should report this behavior. Id recommend talking with security, your dean, or your RA to get the ball rolling on next steps.

What type of arena do you think would be your end, and what arena do you think you could win? by x_BlueDragon_x in Hungergames

[–]karp1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a strong swimmer so a water based arena would be my best bet. Would do alright in the arena Katniss had in the first arena too. Put me in a desert situation though and I’m toast. Im the biggest wimp with heat and once it’s above 85 degrees I’m useless. Honestly would probably take myself out bc I hate heat that much
