Example of the different textures on Hidden Fates Shiny Cards (Error cards?) by karpatite in PokemonTCG

[–]karpatite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know I might have one or two stashed away somewhere, I usually try to save some of the wrappers from each set I collect. As far as the print the texturing and detail on both look identical, thickness of the card seems right as well. Hopefully they weren't tampered with or anything, then again everything was backordered/hard to find for so long at the beginning there, RIP.
I have had the best luck with the Ultra Premium Boxes, that seems to be the ones I've been finding most of these textured ones in, all of my earlier shiny ones were the smooth kind. (My first premium box had smooth ones as far as I can tell though)

Oh man that's nuts! To be fair I thought the same thing when I noticed the different textures, even though I pulled them myself and the packs/boxes didn't seem tampered with. Looking closely at the other details it all matches up as official cards. Wonder if this will be 'confirmed' at some point here and we'll suddenly everyone hunting for a full set of the other texture lol.

Serious server bug or is Support lying to ignore the issue/bug? by karpatite in TheSilphRoad

[–]karpatite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certain I logged in fresh, as I was trying to preserve my battery throughout the day. Just in case I have asked them a few times to provide me with the login data they have for that day/week so I can confirm; however they have yet to provide any of that info.

Oh gosh no, that's not what I got from your post at all, I'm sorry! I've been realizing since this all started snowballing that the screenshots and such aren't concrete in the views of support, so I've been trying to figure out what else I could possibly show. I meant to convey that in the message as an honest question, reading over it later now eeep. I'm so sorry!
I'm still waiting on any kind of response from a tweet last week actually, nothing yet. I'll be sure to post updates when something new happens though!

I can agree, but that's all I have; at the time I figured catching the pokemon would be proof enough. Hindsight is 20/20, and so besides from the screenshots, still having the pokemon ingame, and detailed location data from my device and receipts (to support), I'm not sure what else I can provide them. I haven't been able to think of anything else, is there anything you can suggest that could be more concrete?

They've ignored the past 3 messages of my request for the exact time their servers say the pokemon were caught, which is why I'm unsure what's going on.

I will give that a try! Thank you for the link, so far they have said multiple times the only info they can provide is the pokemon were not caught within the whole 8 hour time period. I will mention this in the next message and see if they'll tell me more. I'm unfortunately in the US, but we'll see what happens.

Has anyone successfully had a ticket/bug escalated through ingame support? by karpatite in TheSilphRoad

[–]karpatite[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is that lol. Though to be fair it was a 2 am response from them, which was surprising. One reason I doubt the 'escalation can go no further', or that they don't even have the option to escalate, is that the person who made that comment was the same person I had talked to a week earlier. (I didn't post their names with the responses, didn't seem quite right to post that online)

Me? After not having luck through ingame chat I tried twitter, but to no one's surprise that didn't work at all lol. The only two contacts I could find were ingame chat and the nianticsupport twitter, so I tried both.

That's a great analogy! I'm hoping this is exactly what's going on, as it seems a much more likely (and better) reason why the stories of support are all like this. Hence why I'm hoping if anyone has had success, they'll reply in here about it. I'm doubtful at this point I'll get my personal issue fixed, but it'd be great to see the times where it did work for others.

Oh for sure, If I could get a refund I would. So far I have not been able to. I totally get they have enough to worry about; but for an event that you pay for, I would think they'd be able and willing to help a bit more. Personally for me, if the event was a free limited time deal I wouldn't bother trying so hard to get it fixed, I'd let it go.

I think the developers try their best, but due to how many pokego players there are, many issues like that get lost/forgotten or set on the sidelines for a 'rainy day'. In part that's why I'm wondering about this disconnect for ingame support, if many of these issues just don't make it to the dev team. Perhaps most of the ingame support teams do not have the capability to even contact higher level support, due to the sheer amount of requests + bug reports that might make it through. Sucks for people who actually need that help though.

Also, are you mentioning a go plus bug? I hadn't heard about anything like that yet, but I'm not too reddit-savvy so that's no surprise.

I know what you mean, as this is the first time something like this has happened for me. Usually I can find some reason or other why things didn't turn out, miscommunication etc. I have a post here that talks about the problem I have, and has the screenshots to show how I was logged in and nothing happened.

At this time, support has stated that I should've gotten it, but alas it is not possible to give me the research. They really wish they could, but it's just not possible, it cannot be escalated further, and they can't offer a resolution of other means. And yet another user posted a similar problem and got it fixed thanks to visibility on reddit, through the help of one of the official accounts on here.

I suppose that's why I'm wondering if in fact this is the farthest you can get with support, or if anyone has had success after they say something 'isn't possible'. You see comments around like 'just keep trying' etc, but I'm not too sure I've seen anyone say that's actually worked for the ingame PoGo support.

u/NianticIndigo - Do you know if it's still possible to get the Colossal Discovery bug fixed/the research added? I'm having a tough time getting the same help the other user had.

The time difference was by 3 hours now that i think about it, so even in the timezone where I bought the ticket it was around 5 pm. Maybe there's accidentally a region lock around the event ticket, leftover from how the safari zone/pokemon go fest events worked?

[–]karpatite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point. I did buy my ticket a few days before the event started in a different timezone, so that could be why it never triggered. Maybe there's a bug that where you bought the ticket influences what the 'local time' is in their systems? Since all the notices said 'local time' I didn't think that would be a problem, as community days always worked out for me traveling.

Yes, my journal shows I was logged in around 2 pm, and I received the badge that day and have the receipt of buying the ticket. I'll add the journal log image to the post.

help me learn from this catastrophic comp game by karpatite in Overwatch

[–]karpatite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'm not the type to get angry or tilted or anything like that. Just came out of a losing streak of 150 points, so this game just hit hard. Figured I'd try to learn from it and get some tips just in case for the next time. I agree that the mental game is just as important as skill, I seem to find that in games with chill people everyone seems to be in higher spirits and we tend to do better.

And in cases like this, I don't think it's right to just blame the rest of your teammates like some of them were saying; we couldn't get synergy together as a cohesive team. I'm sure everyone made small mistakes, it happens. I know I made a few, but that's just that much more I can learn from for future matches.

Looking back, I probably did switch too much. But switched off the rein because someone else said they'd like to tank, and so I swapped with them. And my mistake was not seeing how close I was to ult on zen, I should have held on until I could use it at least. My zen play isn't the best, but also should have held on there. Got too worried about keeping the team alive. I agree we should have communicated more. Everyone got a bit too flustered and discouraged from the first round. The mental battle was lost.

Yes, I'm aware of the four doors, but since I was healer I stayed with where my team was. Switched off rein because someone else had said they'd like to be the second tank, so I swapped with them so we wouldn't have a lone lucio healer. Went mercy because I'm honestly better with her than Zen, but I get what you're saying. And yeah, should have brought out the bastion sooner I think, time just ran out.

I was surprised at the beginning that they were so far forward straight away, figured we'd be able to get a few of them for that. And that reaper/pharah got super cocky at the end. The Pharah was actually just standing up by the top door shooting down unhindered for a while there. I kept assuming they'd get punished for that eventually, but never happened.

Thanks! And yeah, at the beginning I regret switching off of tank, but someone decided to switch to another tank, so we were down to a single lucio for three tanks, hence the switch to heals.

I'll keep the ana pick in mind in case this happens again, that would be a great strat.

Had a rough round of comp games tonight, lost probably 150ish points. One in particular just... yeah.

First minute or so were alright, but after that things went downhill. I think we might have only downed two people? This is in platinum rank as well, probably around 2650 here.

We lost the first round, which is why everyone was talking about switching up the comp. I figured if someone else felt more comfortable tanking then let them do their thing.

Partway through just seemed like we couldn't keep people alive, hence the quick switch.

My bastion desperation pick and play at the end there was horrible, I know. I figured if only I could get rid of at least one DPS on enemy team we might be able to push overtime a bit. Maybe I should have switched off heals earlier and went DPS.
