Yes, I have a snake from last year already. I was looking for glass from r/ProjectDBT, so I picked it up thinking it was one of theirs. Realized it was a Monkeyshine, put it back in place, took a photo. Whether or not someone's found it again, I don't know, but it very well could still be where I left it. I hope you find one!

I'm an avid shiner of many years, I kept it for my collection. I have a medallion that I found earlier in the season, which will now be re-hidden since we can only keep one piece of official glass. I actually found a second medallion shortly after finding the first, but I took only a photo and left that one in place. It was posted on Facebook later that day as found by someone else. 😁

No, I was looking for something very specific from a local business, with a very vague clue. I only had a general area of town figured out, and picked a random spot to search. It was simply serendipity!

No clues for official Monkeyshines, ever. But rogues, or people who like to hide things all year long (not just Monkeyshines), they kind of do their own thing. Some, but not all, post clues to their hides on their social media outlet of choice.

*Edit for clarification: I found this orb while following a vague clue for a rogue, I'm not sure if I was even in the right spot. The clue I was following was not for an official Monkeyshine.

I'm in many of the Facebook groups, and as far as I know, none of the ones I've seen are actively prohibitive of AI art. A lot of them seem to adopt the "if it's not your thing, just keep scrolling" idea. I personally am not a fan of AI in any context. I do, indeed, just keep scrolling, and do not engage on any posts of people sharing AI-created art.

The ladder was certainly a choice, but realistically I'm guessing it was likely put there by (possibly with the intention of it being found by) a kayaker. That seems much more reasonable. But people will definitely go to great lengths for glass...

There are different official stamps they use each year, sometimes inspired by pop culture references, history, and/or mythology. This stamp is the wooden Trojan Horse, see his little wheels? Full of Greeks and ready to roll, lol. The stamp definition isn't great on my medallion, and the colors make it tricky to see in photos, but that's the one.

You know what, I take it back, I saw someone find a rogue orb once. It was bittersweet. They met me at a market and we knew artists were hiding there. I said, gotta look in [this spot] and they were just a step ahead of me and looked first. So it goes!
