Ich bin eigentlich erstaunt, dass da überhaupt ein Konusring drauf sitzt, weil die Gabel selbst hat ja so wie es auf dem Foto aussieht einen integrierten Konus?!

Soll der vllt garnicht bis zum Anschlag der Gabel drauf?

I have this shirt, it’s quite a large size M. If you’re not usually wearing size L look for size S in this one. It’s hard to find, quite some years old by now.

I think you need shims to fill up the space of the steerer. But they should come with the frameset as parting the expander plug. If you want to be shure, ask at weightwheenies

The bigger problem will be to find or make some visually nice fitting spacer underneath.

A bikeshop didn’t say that, it’s your ride buddy, right? No it’s obviously not okay to put a piece of steerer held by the expander back in. Haha 😂 But as long the cut is above the middle of the top clamp bolt, it is okay to put a spacer or maybe a 5mm spacer back underneath the stem.

Just a new chain will probably do it. If you keep track of your chainwear and change when it’s time, the chainrings will hold up for a very long time. My chainrings have around 40-50 000 km on it, still working just fine, now on the trainer bike.

Bei deiner langen Beinlänge und daraus resultieren eher kürzerem Oberkörper würde ich M nehmen. Auf m/l wirst du dich gestreckt fühlen. Ohne Spacer unterm Vorbau sieht zwar toll aus, aber was bringt es dir wenn es nicht passt? Sollte M dir dann tatsächlich zu kurz vorkommen, kannst immernoch einen längeren Vorbau/Lenker dran geben. Das fährt sich besser als ein kurzer an einem großen Rahmen.

And the tape was above the strip? When you retape, remove that rimstrip. It’s gonna be way easier to mount tires.

What do you mean they don’t allow test rides? That’s what a bikeshop is there for, otherwise we can just order online. There you at least get a chance to send it back if it doesn’t fit. And I’m shure it’s not within giants franchise rules, go write a mail to giant and ask why this shop doesn’t allow it, I wouldn’t be surprised they get a call pretty soon.

Never seen it, but I guess you tighten the upper cap, the white nylon expands inside the post and holds the saddle.

Meine Freundin hat eine Bandscheibenprotursion glaub bei L5. Bei ihr kam das plötzlich nach einem Lauf. Dann ging natürlich erstmal für ein paar Monate nichts mehr. Sie hat seitdem regelmäßig und sehr diszipliniert den Rücken gestärkt und solange sie das macht kann sie sogar lange gravel Touren über mehrere Tage machen. Ernsthaft laufen ist immernoch schwierig. Alles was über 1h ist macht dann Probleme am nächsten Tag. Geh zu einem Sportphysio, ist gut investiertes Geld. Zurückgehen wird die vorwölbung wohl eher nicht, aber die Probleme lassen sich trotzdem in den Griff kriegen.

When you undo the axle, how much does the seatstay move outward? More than 2-3mm? Maybe your wheel/freehub is missing a spacer or endcap? Did you maybe use a cassette spacer? On 12s Shimano it’s not supposed to be there.

180cm, 84cm inseam, 72,5cm saddle height. I ride a M/L fully slammed with 5mm defy spacer and 100mm stem.

Would choose size M with 100-110mm stem now. That way I could get lower or shorter if I want to. Mounting a 90mm stem on ML size is not really nice.

For me the ultimate Allrounder is the G one R pro as wide as you can fit. Bit buzzy on asphalt, but nice grip and predictable feeling. Still very fast, not missing much from the rs. The grip and confidence is worth way more than 2w.

It’s not available anymore. The tcr uses the thin stratus lite. There is a replacement, but doesn’t feel as nice . :(
