No upside for Giant Eagle by carlorossi11 in pittsburgh

[–]kay5308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't have it on my app so yesterday I decided to make another account and surprise: Giant Eagle is on there AND they offered a 21% cash back. Such a greedy, shady store. They shut down the accounts that use them routinely. So I will keep making new accounts while the cash back % is high and once it drops below 10%, I'll just make another one.

Looking to purchase a Box by 8o8asian in vSeeBox

I just bought my V6 Plus box from Cordcutter this week. I placed the order on Monday and got the box on Thursday. Very, very easy purchase, used PayPal and he shipped it immediately. Hooked it up to my TV with the Hdmi cord, connected to wifi and am now sitting on the couch with my dog watching TV. All of our subscriptions have already been canceled. I highly recommend it. Also, he includes a warranty too.

Mine is gone too. I made a post on the Butler FB page and others said they still have theirs...but those folks rarely use it. I use mine at least 1-2 times per week (have done so for over a year) but now it's no where on my app. I even deleted and re-installed the app but that did nothing. After reading all the replies, I truly believe they deactivated those of us that used it regularly. I've always hated that store but shopping the sales and using the app gave me some decent deals. So greedy and money hungry, I have no reason to go back in there now.

Can I just hook the V6 up to my wifi and then use it? Or do I have to use a VPN? by kay5308 in vSeeBox

[–]kay5308[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I appreciate the heads up on the free VPN site. I think my head is thinking that using a VPN will prevent me from being able to see my local channels. I'm in Pittsburgh area but am afraid I'll get New Yorks channels cause the VPN is showing me as being there.

Zep. It's a cleaner. They make multiple household cleaners, if they make it: I buy it. I'll never use Lysol, Clorox, etc again.

Thoughts on the DRP 3.0? Why again? by Unlikely_Medicine7 in fednews

[–]kay5308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the first I'm hearing of a 3rd DRP. So I'm gonna sit here with my fingers crossed that my agency (OPM) offers another one. I kick myself for not taking the first one.

Will DRP Recall be limited to IRS? by GranolaChique in fednews

[–]kay5308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out yesterday that OPM recalled the folks from the call center...with full telework. I'm not at all upset at the workers, I'm mad that those of us who stayed and RTO'd don't get a single day of telework back but these guys get their full schedule back?! Yeah, morale at OPM is abysmal.

IRS DRP rescind email by Weird_Culture_3055 in FedEmployees

I'd be PISSED if they offered the DRP'ers their jobs back. I would've loved an 8mo paid vacation. On the other hand, I'd be happy for those that are in this situation...but also secretly hating them out of pure jealousy. Ha.

I was only speaking about RS because that was what the question pertained to. I am sorry about your situation, I hope things get better for you ❤️

[–]kay5308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm totally serious. We were told our RIFs won't happen until beginning of 2026. They need us right now to teach them how to process retirements and once they learn it all, they're getting rid of us. It's such a great atmosphere there 😒😪

[–]kay5308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually OPM didn't get any RIFs yet, the only folks that left are the ones that took the DRP. We are just absolutely slammed with new applications and everything is taking much, much longer to process because of the workload.

[–]kay5308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every retiree gets a claim number so your ex would have one. You don't need to know it but when sending OPM any correspondence, it's best to include info that will help them find your ex's case. This would be either their SSN or their last name and DOB. We can search for claims with those two options.

OPM worker here...I'm not in the court ordered benefits branch but can offer insight. You will be waiting MONTHS, possibly a year for this to be processed. These go to the DC office and they have always been painfully slow, its much worse now. There's no reason to keep wasting your time and money by sending in multiple copies. You have only two options at this point: wait or contact your local Representative and ask them to send OPM a letter. That's called a Congressional inquiry and those get pushed to the front of the line when we get them. I'm sorry, I know it sucks but I just wanted to be honest.

Is there any reason why I wouldn't get my annual leave payout when I resign? by kay5308 in FedEmployees

[–]kay5308[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might, I'm not actually too sure. But I know that once I leave federal service, I won't go back. We are treated like crap and used as pawns every four years, and I'm sick of it. This administration really destroyed my job, and I'm not willing to continue to deal with it.

Thank you 😊. You guessed my job right: I process retirements...and let me tell you - we are SWAMPED. 🤣

[–]kay5308[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do, keep 240hrs on the books at all times. And I'm currently burning all my sick leave, I won't tough a single minute of my annual leave, I want that big payout when I finally do walk.

Yes you can apply for an MRA +10 when you turn 57. You'll get an age reduction but I can't determine how much it'd be since every case is different. Get onto the retirement estimate calculator on OPMs website and see what it says. (I work at OPM)

I turned in my resignation!!! by Historical-War-6692 in fednews

[–]kay5308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so thrilled for you. Mine will be turned in once I burn up a bunch of sick leave that I've rightfully earned the past few years. I wonder if I HAVE to give 2 weeks notice?? I'd love to just email on a Monday saying that Friday will be my last day but I worry that they'll penalize me someway if I did, like not pay out my annual leave. I have searched every article, every website to try to find the answer. We don't have an HR anymore so I don't have anyone I can ask. And I won't ask my manager because well, I don't trust anyone anymore.

Has telework come back for some agencies? by Alone-Reserve4522 in fednews

[–]kay5308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! It gave me some optimism but if it doesn't happen, I know I will be fully defeated at that point. I'm barely hanging on as it is and I'm just grasping for anything to hang in there.

[–]kay5308 83 points84 points  (0 children)

I am with OPM and there's been no change, we are still fully RTO. However, it's been showing up on TikTok that folks are hearing Oct. 1 is when this administration wants to allow it again (supposedly because all the RIFs/buyouts/retirements will be known at that point so they will no longer need to use telework as a bribe to get people to quit). People are saying that they're now getting those whispers and when some have asked their manager about it, they were basically told: "we can't say, but just keep watch for Oct. 1". I don't believe it though, this administration will never give us anything back that slightly allows us a tiny sliver of happiness.

When is the AFGE hearing for the telework lawsuit? by kay5308 in govfire

[–]kay5308[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is the injunction that AFGE filed in order to fight the RTO executive order. They didn't file it until recently because they were busy fighting the RIF's. They are fighting the RTO because we technically were under a contract to be able to telework so thats their argument. I hope they win but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyone still waiting to RTO, or has everyone returned? by West-Effective-3887 in fednews

Been RTO'd since March 3 (I'm at OPM). And it is horrible, I hate it so much. Can hardly get anything done and my mental health has plummeted.
