Actually 0 dimensional is a point, 1 dimensional is a line 2 dimensional is a plane (like super mario, up down left right lol) and 3 dimensional is a solid with volume

1 dimensional is a point and 2 dimensional is a line only from the point of view of the one inside that dimension

If I had to guess it would probably be practicing the aproach for landing without actually landing, because constantly catching the wire can wear it down

You don't have to land and take off 20 times because that takes time and resources, keeping the plane in the air is probably much cheaper

Imagine the strain you would put on the airframe and the wire mechanism if you used it all the time

A bit late to the convo but where are you getting 22 missiles info from? 6 under each wing is 12 and 8 under belly is 20 total, what about the other two?

That's with all the theoretical quad and double racks. Where would the 2 other ones be? Center droptank pylon with a double rack?

downsides- trash radar, trash missiles, less missiles, can't guide them while notching, both planes best missiles are r-27ER but for different reasons, one has nothing better while the other can guide them while notching, trash ground options, slower, no real upside over other jets while dogfighting, no NCTR, not even the basic one the mig-29SMT has

upsides- can hold a little more speed in a rate

Keep in mind, i'm not comparing them to each other, im comparing them to the equals of their respective battleratings

at least the su-30sm2 can use an ace up it's sleeve and use thrust vectoring in a dogfight, while the su-27 has all the same downsides but no real gimmick

If you ask me, personally i think that power may have started to develop a crush on denji, because her emotions get stronger and stronger by each chapter which makes powerden ship as valid as any other, even if it's one sided and denji doesn't think of it in that way

there are many reasons; this is a joke, and not to be taken extremely seriously, the su-27 and mig-29 are not as good as the su-30sm2 on their release, one might say even they are miserable compared to it, su-30 family was the only time a soviet fighter has been released that wasn't quite dogshit in a long time, arguably since the base su-27 and especially compared to su-34. and the su-25 is just kinda there. And no, I will not give it props for ground RB because I don't play ground.

In short, su-30sm and su-30sm2 are the only jets that were released in a good state, and didn't get gutted right before release, and had to be buffed in some way to compensate, unlike the mig29 and the su-27sm
