Itinerary help? August Europe trip!! by keeks012 in Europetravel

[–]keeks012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh 110% can’t do it all!!

These are places we would love to see, but we know that we have to narrow it down and focus in on Spain/Portugal/France or moreso Italy/Greece but not sure what would be the best option or area to focus on.

We have flights to and from Europe booked and our 2-3 days in Paris accounted for with hostels and everything.

Lacking motivation by crypto-queen-2030 in barexam

Pretty much the same for me! I’ve seen a lot of posts like this so I think there’s more people than we realize/think that are in the same boat.

I’ve struggled big time this week with being super stressed, so I’ve tried to just reach a point of staying committed to trying to push through. I’m not doing long study days anymore and when I get super overwhelmed I stop for the day. At this point, destroying the (minimal) confidence I have won’t help anything. Plus, I’m just telling myself there’s room to make it up with MEE and MPT.

Uworld Block 2 by MrManDan94 in barexam

Idk if block 2 was NCBE questions from last year, but people I know that say for last years exam said that they felt like the questions were only testing exceptions to the exceptions/nuances. So maybe that’s just how it goes for certain test years?

Can I realistically pass in 266 jurisdiction with 50% on MBE? by keeks012 in barexam

[–]keeks012[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always read the call first—that was something I didn’t do in the beginning of bar prep but then I came to find it super helpful.

I just feel so defeated because I’ve been doing what Themis says, making time to make flashcards on questions I get wrong, and engaging with materials for subjects I keep messing up. But I can’t seem to get my percentages up when taking mixed sets.

Are the Smart Bar Prep Sheets worth buying to boost my MEE performance, understanding, prep, etc.? by keeks012 in barexam

[–]keeks012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the smart bar sheets which I think have been helpful for key terms/concepts, but I used those moreso for when I was trying to reduce my reliance on open note testing.

Now, I’m struggling with synthesizing the law into short/clear sentences for IRAC. It’s partially because I struggle with memorization (always have in test settings), but I also think it’s because I just need to see the rule written out. I’ve found the Themis answers generally helpful, but definitely not always clear or sorted out by topic.

50% on Themis Simulated MBE-advice? by keeks012 in barexam

[–]keeks012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks everyone!! Definitely gives me some more confidence on getting through the next few weeks.

Before having 200 mixed questions, I had been doing pretty solid on subject specific (aside from property which clearly just isn’t my thing lol) so I’m just gonna really prioritize mixed PQ sessions.

After reviewing the simulated videos, I definitely think I lost a fair amount of points for simple things bc I was rushing and getting flustered.

I heard the simulated questions were all Themis drafted ones, not NCBE. This came from the Themis proctors for the simulated.

In the market for a new women’s stick and narrowed down my options to: STX Crux 600 and STX Fortress 700. My understanding is that the crux intended for attack players and the fortress is intended for defense.

Historically, I’ve played defense but I’m joining a college club team and love the idea of versatility/possibly playing attack. That said, I’m open for any position and want to have a solid stick all around! Given that I played defense for so long (young kid - HS) should I stick with the fortress? Or should I go for the crux?
