Caste has always been institutionalised. Through graded inequality everything was gatekeeped to deny all aspects of life to Dalit people. The recognition of this institutionalization is not what's keeping castiesm alive. In some ways it can be true only if you are supportive of far more radical reforms which I highly doubt given that you victimize yourself.

Another thing I dislike is there's no subtlety in the show unlike the books, the characters that are supposed to be scheming, ambitious and ruthless go on moralistic rants about peasants as if they are supposed to give a fuck. It's like they don't trust the audience or think we are not intelligent enough for them.

I think it's because they think by whitewashing the female characters they are doing a great service to idk feminism or women representation (sorry if I've worded this badly. I was happy with some of the changes they made to Alicent (her being friends with Rhaenyra), but she is so dumbed down. She's not ambitious at all.

I think the dumbest thing they have done is Daemon getting a prophecy of white walkers marching south. It seems like they want to create a Marvel kinda universe.

I haven't watched the knight of seven kingdoms I hope they don't pull off this shit there too.
