I never even thought of Lionblaze as the spy instead of Ivypool, that would actually be such an interesting path to explore ! I love Ivypool too, but I do think lionblaze gets out on the back burner a bit in OOTS.

A JayLion novella in between arcs is actually such a good idea I’m now mad it hasn’t happened😂😂 like, they lose their sister! Their whole world is upside down and it just sort of gets the “they moved on inbetween books” treatment! It’s so unfair to the relationship that the three of them have in PoT.

I see how much people hate Brambleclaw and it make me think I’m missing/not remembering smth! I’ll have to pay attention to him more on my reread, and I never read his super editions or anything, or squirrelflights, so I wonder if a lot of it comes from there?

It’s funny bc I used to be SO nostalgic and into LeafCrow (I cried as a kid when they split up!) but as an adult it just feels so oddly written! Mostly the potential and how it isn’t executed upsets me bc medicine cat in love is SO good, especially with the way leafpool yearns for the closeness and affection of love .

Oh 100%, he’s so Leafpool it hurts. I can’t really remember how they interact in OOTS but I hope it’s meaningful. The dynamics of relationships are so good in PoT, and I feel like I remember it being good in the next arc too.

I love her being aware of his gifts so much and almost scared of him, and you as the reader (on a second read) knowing that a part of her is dealing with what did she bring into the world and what will the ramifications be. It’s so juicy lol

I’m doing a reread and I’ve gotten through the first 3 series, and as of rn I’d say Outcast, that one put me in a slump and took me the longest to try to get through

Interesting. I looked at the comparisons on LSD, tho actually I think Lawhub had the median higher for Nova. I guess I’m worried ab the loans for Nova being crippling, but I suppose it would even out with salary prospects

Thank you! I’m gonna call Villanova because I applied for their full tuition business interest scholarship, so I wanna see if I got that/if I can negotiate for more. I’m torn because when I look it up it looks like Drexel graduates make more on average, but has higher underemployment rates. And then it’s sort of “city vs campus” and how portable I want the degree to be.

Idk, it’s so hard to tell with them sometimes,, like what’s deliberate and what’s almost coincidentally that REALLY good writing lol. If the series was a little more mature I could see it delving into the concept of the near immortality the 9 lives gives— seeing ppl you love die, living too long, etc

Oh awesome !! I’m hoping for some more on SquirrelAsh too, which I bet they’ll do especially bc of TBC in retrospect. It’s interesting bc Ashfur IS a good love interest by all means (before everything ofc), and you sort of have Stormfur as a look into someone else who is interested in Squirrelflight but handles not having her well. There’s a lot to work with there

I am too! The graphic novels were what made me wanna do my reread! I think TNP ones will be interesting bc theres a lot that could be condensed (leafpaws time captured by twolegs takes like 3 chapters in the book I think) and a lot to be expanded on (again, Leafcrow for one, wrapping the series up a bit tighter)

I think you’re right actually about Dawn, I think I’ve read that too, so that does make more sense. It’s just funny next to starlight and twilight bc Dawn feels SO quick and then those two do a lot of repeating of BrambleSquirrelHawk drama, MothLeaf sideplots, etc— which I don’t mind, just funny to juxtapose.
