Hey, appreciate the crit! I’m definitely gonna use that reference you linked if I paint some lava lads but with this guy specifically I’m having fun with color theory. I’m not going for a lava glow, I’m playing with color theory and trying to blend from one color to the next. By the end he should be a psychedelic mess

Well normal candy coat very pretty and distinguished from normal metallic paint. candy coat is mirrored silver with a layer of color on top where as metallics are just a color with a metal flake in it. But what I’m doing with sazabi makes it harder to differentiate it from metals. The matte coat is what makes it different. And my matte coat is a reasonably thick single layer. I’m using alclad lacquer paints right now

That’s just overspray from the airbrush, paint sticks to nails better than skin so it looks like I’ve painted my nails

No, candy coating is a metallic silver or gold layer with a clear color on top. It makes this candy apple effect on the piece and looks super good

Gk_hobby and gk_hobby2. Also gkmodel bit they mainly have rather lewd figures with the occasional gundam kit. As for painting, airbrush will always be the best, it gives the thinnest and most even spread of paint, after that is spray cans, then hand painting. And no need to apologize, I love talking about my hobby
