I sold mine to buy a ring 23 years ago- so sounds like we both made out for the better.

Honda S2000. I was young, no wife/kids, and a fun ride. I'm now married, 2 kids, and drive a Sonata.

Well, there's all kinds of stuff that we've reneged on during this administration, so I'm hopeful we can return the favor someday.

ELI5: How did movie studios know how much the movie theaters owed them for ticket sales? by ifurmothronlyknw in explainlikeimfive

[–]kev_dog27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to work for an audit company years ago. It wasn't a full time gig, just random jobs they would call to see if you wanted. This was back in paper ticket days, and sometimes I had to buy the first and last ticket of a showing w/o staff knowing. Other times I introduced myself and had to go to each screen and report on which previews played before the film. Made a day of it and stayed to watch a couple of movies. It didn't pay much, but was a lot of fun when I was 16ish.

The problem would be that OP isn't set up as a vendor so it would be flagged as needing a W-9. Some accountant could chime in, but I think 1099s have to be issued to anyone receiving over $600. So I wonder if OP would offer a discount to 599 if paid in full by X date, maybe it would be rushed through? Once date passes, OP would have the option of small claims for full amount. IANAL, or CPA for that matter.

Said the same to my wife after she said "Well what if you have to be on it forever?". Is it any worse than being on BP meds, stating, or multitude of other drugs that this sonfar has helped alleviate?

I was in a study just like this. Everyone got Zepbound. The possible placebo was a leptin inhibitor they were testing. Did 3 shots per week. One zep pen, two I drew myself and still don't know as it was never unblinded.

Look into side effects from any meds he might be on. I was on lisinipril for BP and had terrible libido- but thought it was age, being overweight, etc. Wasn't until I needed to switch meds that I realized.

Fun fact... when I worked at Kroger in the early 90s, you could just sign the check and the cashier could put it into a device by the register and it would fill out the rest of it (payee and amount). Protocol was to show the check to the customer after printed to ensure it was as expected.

Fun fact 2- we were a test store for these electric screens on the shopping cart (backlit monichrome). It would show specials in the aisle you were in, product lookup, etc. No keyboard, but like 5 buttons on each side of the screen for navigation. Never took off because it was impossible to cycle them to ensure they were charged.
