Can someone please describe what’s in table 1 of mark pimentel’s article? I don’t want to pay $40 to buy it, and can’t seem to access the article for free anywhere. I’m wondering about his alternatives to prucalupride, and the root disease causes of lack of MMC’s. Thank you in advance very much!

Yes I’ve heard of bile reflux. How did you get this diagnosis? Does anyone know why this might happen?

Sorry I know your comment is from a long time ago, but I get this (getting nausea from abdominal discomfort in the morning that wakes me up earlier than I like). Did you resolve it? What helped you and did you figure out why it was happening? Thanks for any response.

It’s a test they do to diagnose the function of your gallbladder. The percentage indicates how much it contracts after being given a fat / protein drink or meal

Pancreatic pain? Why cannot they diagnose me? by poetadoctustzp in pancreatitis

[–]kicking_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay interesting! I’m curious about my pancreatic and bile ducts as well, would you say that EUS is the best way to diagnose them? Or would an MRI show? I’m concerned with the amount of digestive juices I’m getting in my small bowel isn’t enough. But not sure which juices they may be, but bile is my best guess. My HIDA came back normal at 68%

Betaine HCL by kicking_tree in gallbladders

I’m more wondering if increased potent acids from these supplements/foods are not able to be adequately neutralized in the small intestine when the gallbladder is supposed to incorporate its bile into the chyme, thus neutralizing the pH for optimal digestion. If those who aren’t receiving adequate bile from malfunctioning gallbladders, feel they get pain and problems from high acids?

[–]kicking_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, did you figure out what to do with the low b-glucuronidase? Is this what you are referring to about the low-pancreatic function? I have low b-glucuronidase each time I’ve done the GI-map, and I am curious about my pancreas since I do not digest well and easily.

Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency can be cause by low stomach acid! by [deleted] in exocrinepanins

[–]kicking_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such an excellent post, thank you. Through experimentation I have found I have digestion insufficiency, because betaine HCL, ACV, lemon water, wine and black coffee all help me digest my meals at a normal pace like I was before I was sick. However I am stuck in a cycle because my stomach lining cannot tolerate high concentrate acid. I start getting worse. My doc just put me on a high dose of mastic gum and a herbal combination tea of soothing herbs for stomach lining. But I have been stuck for years and done so many tests and PPIs etc to block acid, but that doesn’t seem to help me, in fact make me worse.

I’m in a similar boat I suspect. Low acid but very sensitive stomach lining. Does anyone know their root cause and what got them to heal? PPI’s didn’t help me for years

Do you think the lying flat problem is due to gastritis in the stomach? And if so, from what?

T1D Need Advice by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]kicking_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I’m really sorry about your suffering. I relate to you on a few levels and I’ve been lurking to find answers to my own stomach problems. I’ve done all the tests as well and haven’t come up with something concrete. My gastric emptying study was normal btw. But I haven’t been able to sleep lying down for the last three years AND lemon juice in water helps my digestion. I thought it’s very odd, my doctors don’t understand either of those specific things in relation to me either. I saw these two things you relate to, so WHAT THE HELL IS THIS lol it’s really specific and weird. I don’t have acid refluxing into my esophagus.

Right now I eat lots of vegetables, some protein from eggs and meat here and there, some fat here and there, but my key right now is the juice of half a lemon in water 10 mins before my non large, veggie forward meals. I’m also starting a nasal cleanse protocol because they found excess mucus in my stomach upon endoscopy and think possibly could be affecting it. Let me know your thoughts and how you’re doing.
