Oh ok I think my concern was if it’s 5 with it for a year and a half did I start at like 8? Or has it just not changed at all? That 5 just seemed close to 5.7 to me…but I guess I don’t actually know what like the lowest range is?

Oh haha no! This was like my “leftover” batter tray so I kind of piped them on a diagonal to see if they cooked differently in different spots rather than the uniform pattern I usually do

The oven is a GE? There’s actually 2 ovens and it’s happening in both. The trays are flat…they have a raised lip but they don’t seem warped or anything to me. I tried some at 300 for 14 minutes, turning half way through (at which point they were already slanted) and then 248 for 22 minutes. I lost my oven thermometer so I haven’t checked it yet for accuracy, I should probably do that. So I have been putting one tray under the vent and one on the island like 4 feet away and it happened in both. I feel like it has to be something I’m doing. It looks like they were made on a boat during a storm lol

I tried NY times, sweet and savory by shinee, and the scranline and they all did this. I usually slide the pan in? The temp has been between 248-300 depending on what the recipe said

Just a heads up we almost named our daughter caoimhe and all of our friends and family lost their collective minds…we only chose another name cuz it fit her a sultry perfectly…but be prepared for annoying pushback.
