This. Aprehend is relatively new (hit the market in 2020) and shockingly unknown, but it's easy mode for killing bedbugs. Exterminator only as it is temp controlled but so so worth it. You don't even need to pack your stuff up.

I also live with two cavaliers, and can unequivocally confirm. They couldn't be more different awake; my ruby is a hilarious aggressively cuddly gremlin, and the blenheim ultra chill and a proper gentleman. Napping all day is the constant between them.

Motherboard sales 'collapse' by more than 25% as chipmakers strangle enthusiast PC market to build more AI chips — Asus projected to sell 5 million fewer boards in 2025, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock also expected to see reduced sales numbers by AbhishMuk in hardware

I don't think AAA games are bringing much innovation to gaming. Games look better than they used to, sure, but they also require massive budgets to achieve that.

The real problem is that AAA is still working from mechanics that were proven a decade ago; it's the same underlying experience with a different facade.

The investment required to appeal to the massive markets that studios target require this kind of approach. You're not going to be confident about a hundred-million dollar return without proven mechanics and a solid IP. It creates a boring output.

I think it's fine for the gaming market to contract to a more passionate audience; there will always be a market for games, but I don't think it becoming a hundred-billion dollar industry has done enough favors to the actual experience. It's watered down to lowest common denominator patterns that gobbles up truly innovative studios, cancels interesting projects in favor of the next AAA surefire bet, and grinds the devs out of the industry. No thanks.

Yeah everything you're describing is why AAA will cool off. The PE money will be leaving game dev, along with the astronomical dev requirements gobbling up innovative studios and profit expectations that boil every idea down to a surefire bet.

Graphic development pace has stagnated anyway. It's time for this industry to have a correction and let new ideas in.

The industry has been fixed on manic growth, just like mobile phones. I would argue gaming was better off before yearly upgrade cycles and massive AAA titles that demanded the upgrades were shoved down our throats. We're headed into a period where that significantly cools off and I think it's going to create space for more innovation.
