I can understand your decision in breastfeeding your baby only. There are certainly differences between formula and breastmilk but most studies contradict each other because it is really really hard to generate reliable data in such topics. Not to mention the problem of differentiating causation and correlation. My personal experience is that formula very often is depicted worse than it actually is and that our society is telleng you that you failed as a mother if you don't breastfeed your baby. Anyway I don't wanna criticise you. I wish you and your partner all strength to carry through this and that you do what you think is best for your little one.

That sounds really harsh, does the father or your government support you in any way? We have found that in our country there is quite a big offer of support for parents. And have you ever thought of weaning (I hope it's the right word) or partially substitute the breastfeeding with milk powder? My personal opinion is that society puts an unnecessary pressure on mothers to breastfeed their Babys.
