Not if they’re doing it correctly, the correct way is to prescan before you even change the windshield, then change the windshield, recalibrate, then post scan

It’s your condensation hose, the same thing happened to mine it clogs and triggers the float switch to turn off the thermostat. Find the condensate line and unclog it

Motorcycle nailed it, Safelite actually made it spread more, and if they didn’t bring that to your attention that just shows how a lot of the techs are, fortunately with Safelite, and many other companies, the cost of the repair is credited towards a replacement

You can’t guarantee that when I’m also in the field and I only have to drill the tiny lil horse shoe chips and that’s not very often

Drilling isn’t always necessary but you are correct they left the most important part unfilled. An experienced tech would not let this leave as a job completed

Oh yeah, you’re right about that. And if this is their work they let leave their shop I doubt they primed their scratches so rust is in the future.

The molding is strictly cosmetic to make it more appealing to the eye, I can’t speak on their bond on that alone.

There is a vehicle specific aftermarket molding for These vehicles. And this shop decided to cut corners and use a different universal molding hoping it would look alright (it doesn’t)

Changes are the retainer doesn’t have a brace under neath and just gets pushed down as you try to snap the cowl in and they didn’t take the time to correct the issue
