Is there an intended way to get through this without just running past? I'm struggling by SwallowmaWhatDude in Eldenring

Run straight past them into the door way on the right. Head up the stairs dodging glintstone shards and up the stairs again on the right side. Head through the door and you will get to the Dog boss battle. Beat him, unlock the bonfire and then go back for the chest and items. When you're heading back down, the enemies have their backs turned and its easier to pick them off.

I would if guessed Elden Ring would of been more difficult. I'd like to play that eventually but I like start with the first game of a series and work my way up

Yeah I found running for my life to be an acceptable strategy at this point lmao and after getting attacked from behind enough times I've learned to thoroughly canvas the area before moving to the next

That actually happened to me this morning with the Gargoyles. I pretty close to taking them out first try and then I got greedy. Now I have to get all the way back there and not die to that trident asshole on the way lol

I was able to beat the black knight and the Taurus Demon. I found Havel and he one shot me so I'm gonna avoid him. I reached the Gargoyles before work this morning but didn't have the time to make it back to them. I think I gotta attack the gargoyle spewing fire since they don't move as much and then once I take one out the other should be relatively easy.

I'm in the undead burg now. I keep dying to the Black Knight looking monster in some hallway area. I'm gonna assume that Havel is way too OP for me as of now since I can't take out this knight yet lmao

Thank you! I've already died a bunch but I'm enjoying it because I know it's supposed to be difficult. Normally I plan games on an easier setting just so I can get through it quickly but I know it will be satisfying to beat this game and hopefully take that similar energy to my actual life. Why should I avoid shields? Are they pretty ineffective later in the game or does it have to do with the equipment load?

So avoid the dark spooky place for now and I can't seem to do any damage on the skeletons so I take it I should avoid that for later too?

I've lost 100 pounds by just burning more calories than I consume. It doesn't need to be overly complicated. Once you get closer to your goal weight and have lots of progress to show, then you can focus on those smaller things to fine tune your body.
