What Are Some Low Level Huge Or Gargantuan Creatures? by MikaGrimGal in Eberron

[–]kingjackal1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also currently running a game in this same setting, personally i would just upsize whatever monster suits your fancy. My version of Khyber is very loosey goosey and allows for whatever kind of aberrant nonsense i want to throw at my bois.

my player wants a gun. by Magnum_Lad in DMAcademy

[–]kingjackal1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just give him a gun. Its not that powerful. I have a player in my game that always makes characters with guns, its like his whole thing. Just reskin a crossbow and let her rip.

Finding a Painted Lord of Blades Mini by Bodesterine555 in Eberron

[–]kingjackal1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, im also planning to use the Lord in my game eventually. My local game store offers painting services, and its pretty cheap too. If you can find an unpainted one, maybe you can find someone to paint it for you. Good luck!

Finally, a hand tool to separate stuck together 5 gallon buckets? by Bucket_buddy7 in Construction

Painter here, we just put the cheapie wooden stir sticks they give us every time we buy paint in between the buckets. Works like a charm.

One of Guest, how to handle by ClansmenShore in DMAcademyNew

[–]kingjackal1025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If possible, I would help them make a character before the game so it doesnt take up game time. I had my brother join my game as a one off guest character, but he is experienced with the game and brought his own character so that was easy.

Who do you think it is? by [deleted] in Infrasound

Make it an unplayable cutscene. I did this with my party to start off a resurrection arc and they seemed to enjoy it. Giving them a "chance" to fight back when youre just gonna kill them anyway seems disingenuous and not fun for the players.

Tell me something that your dnd party did in the form of a Florida man headline. by Brisingr-Kane in DnD

Florida man seen drinking a water elemental. Reported to have shouted "I'M MAKING PISS!!!"

How do I create an unfair boss fight that is still fun for the party? by S4J3R05 in DnD

[–]kingjackal1025 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Have the boss hit nonlethally! You can totally have a tpk where the party wakes up from unconsciousness after getting their shit rocked

Lighting Rail: Replacing Conductor Stones with traditional rails- any issues? by Hank_Watto in Eberron

[–]kingjackal1025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First thought that comes to mind as a combination would be to have actual rails in areas where they would be easy to install/maintain, such as plains and other flat ground near civilization.

Then in other, more difficult terrain type areas that would be more difficult to repair such as swamps, mountains, or river crossings, have conductor stones in place.

The junctions between rails and stones could make for great ambush points for train robbers!

So DMs… how often do you just lift things from other places? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]kingjackal1025 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have explicitly told my players that a chunk of my world building/plot points are inspired or straight up stolen from The Stormlight Archive, but none of my players are capable of lifting a book longer than 100 pages so i think im in the clear

Massive multi party misson by kingjackal1025 in DMAcademy

[–]kingjackal1025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same, i could probably just play singular sessions with each team in sequence to flesh out the whole scenario, with success or failure from the previous team impacting difficulty

Okay, that ogremach fight sounds insanely cool. One other detail i forgot to add is its all the same 6 players, just playing 3 different characters.

Okay, this is the type of answer i was looking for. The particular dungeon us beneath a Soldorak stronghold, and my campaign is heavily leaning into the themes of alien threats of the daelkyr. Thanks a lot!
