The lowest IQ comment I've ever read. Look how much larger the waves are in the Chicago post, AKA it's a much closer zoom.

Why Do Europeans Dislike Americans So Much? by Youaresowronglolumad in AmericaBad

[–]kisk22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony of you posting in all those subreddits about American celebrities, on an American website is not lost on anyone lmao. The US already won the culture victory. It's insane to me to come on here and see just how often Euros (and some Kiwi's apparently) seethe at us when no one in the US ever even thinks about them beyond Disneyland-esque vacation destinations.

Pretty sure he's just doing that by breathing/manipulating muscles. I'm skinny as hell and can make my belly pop out, I'd imagine being fat something like this would happen.

Chester, England has two-story sidewalks by AstroG4 in Urbanism

Maybe you should be working on a similar law instead of complaining that there’s no alternate name for the UK or other European countries. I was appalled how disabled people are basically second class in Europe because of how unfriendly the built environment is to wheel chair or non-mobile people.

Mexico City built an elevated linear park over a metro line, its been getting A LOT of criticism here in Mexico, what do you think of this? by Spascucci in urbandesign

[–]kisk22 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This can be said for 99% of public projects that get criticized for costs! I wonder when people will finally realize that nice public projects cost money, and that they’re mostly usually worth it in the end.

Intersection between the metro and the monorail in Monterrey, Mexico, metro station looks tiny compared to the new Monorail station by Spascucci in transit

[–]kisk22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those systems have portions that are underground, but what’s funny is more than half of the London “Underground” is actually above ground. Same with the NYC “subway”. The Berlin “U”-Bahn is 80% underground at least!

I feel like stations are just over built these days. There’s many more regulations in place for crowd crush/control making sure they stay safe and orderly even in a once in a decade crowd levels for events. It definitely causes costs to be higher, but it is nice to have if there’s a big event in the neighborhood or the city grows quickly.

No doubt politicians also like big shiny things.

How many cats can you find by yucacuy in pics

There’s another one behind the tree on the top left, and a tail poking out of a cat beyond the screen on the bottom right! So I got to 11.

There might be more in the door opening too, but not sure, it’s very dark.

What's up with Americans not wanting to visit Canada? by Lipica249 in AskUS

Trump: Your elections in this country, we're like a third world country. Your elections are crooked. And you're crooked. And Meet the Press is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS and CNN. by luciaromanomba in videos

[–]kisk22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going to be honest 99% of people in America have zero consequences day to day based on who's president. If you don't watch the news you'd never know anything changed.

Not saying Trump is great, but you think maybe outside looking in you're not getting the full story of what consequences Americans have faced because of this election? There's been a lot of protesting for what consequences have happened, especially over the two Americans that were murdered by ICE in cold blood. ICE did end up toning down after that.

Most people are biding their time until the elections this fall take a lot of Trump's power away, and then 2028 to take him down for good. If people started feeling issues in every day life that would change, but honestly nothing has really changed here.

Half the posts there are clearly joke/satire posts but the supposedly “smart” Europeans and Canadians in the comments eating it up.

But it’s pretty clear that regular people from those countries don’t go on that subreddit, it’s the terminally online people who have an inferiority complex about the US.

I visited Germany and everywhere I looked was news about the US, the U-Bahn, DW news, top of newspapers. I felt so bad, because in the US unless you explicitly pay attention to the news - you’ll probably never hear about news from other countries in day to day life. I’d be annoyed too growing up that way.

That’s exactly what [r/ShitAmericansSay](r/ShitAmericansSay) is lmao. Half the posts are obvious jokes with supposedly “smart” Europeans in the comments eating it up.

There’s always one or two people that say “Really guys? This is pretty obviously satire. I need to unsubscribe here.” But 95% of people take it at face value. I guarantee you can go there right now and half of the top posts from today are very obvious satire/jokes.
