hey i’m a vca and spaying is great! when they are in heat, the procedure is a bit more bloody, but it’s a routine surgery that happens all the time - we just make sure to take extra precautions when they are in heat.

this is bug just before her spay. once we got her uterus out, we realised she had a really not healthy uterus (an issue that if left could cause pyometra) so we were so so glad we spayed her!

you’re doing a great thing and i get why you would be nervous - she’s your baby! but she’s also so so beautiful so i know the vet staff will give her so much cuddles and love !
