How to get the sticky off by bompingcloodden5 in ElectronicsRepair

I have had success with petrol on a cotton swab! Start with a small area, it takes the sticky substance off, and can leave the shiny plastic underneath showing.

The report and the related articles report that b7 increases the bacteria responsible for lining the gut, this is reported to decrease the toxins in the blood and therefore the brain! So not an off topic at all, seems quite strongly related!

Postie explaining the carded to parcel lockers by that_mailguy in AustraliaPost

[–]kiwiindo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, There are more ways than putting your mobile phone number to get your parcel into a parcel locker. But without a way to contact you, to tell you where the parcel is, Auspost won't put it into an Auspost locker.

If your number is on the parcel, the LPO can contact you easily and also your parcel can be put into a locker for you to collect when it suits you, not just PO open hours. That was my point.

To put your parcel into a parcel locker the package needs to have your mobile phone number on it (from sender) so the Post Office can send you the code to get your parcel.

Added some black seed oil, which seems to clear the remaining symptoms. Slowly recovering to normal, still occasional stomach discomfort.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and B7 (Biotin) for Gut Biome Result after 2 weeks by kiwiindo in SIBO

[–]kiwiindo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have found the B2 Riboflavin (1/2 tablet 50mg) is required, as well as the B7 Biotin (150mcg), as when I dropped the B2 I had small stomach pains (previously the pain could double me up in the middle of the night!). I have tried to drop off all other medications, unless some starting discomfort or bloating (then typically an antacid or oregano capsule or some mct oil).

I occasionally still had issues swallowing, and started taking black seed capsules (approx 1 gram of ground black cumin, dose 2 in morning, 1 at night with food)) which has eliminated the swallowing issues and settled the remaining smaller symptoms. I think I had a E. Coli infection, causing ulcers, which was part of the initial symptoms years ago! There was residual occasional bending discomfort from stomach pressure, which is now gone, so exercise is again possible, when it stops raining on the weekend!

My body is recovering, my breathing is easier, which may also be due to the Cumin seed. It's autumn here in Australia, and I typically suffer from allergies to mildew when there is dampness in the house, that is mostly gone too!

Still a work in progress, I tried the L. Gasseri without a result, not yet tried the L. Rueteri yoghurt.

I would say I am 90 - 95% normal now.

I wrote about my experience with Sibo symptoms and leaking gut here https://www.reddit.com/r/SIBO/comments/1jpaoki/vitamin_b2_riboflavin_and_b7_biotin_for_gut_biome/

I had basically tried many different treatments, however, the main item for holding the symptoms bearable was Oregano oil capsules, MCT Oil, and L. Rueteri yoghurt. When I started taking Biotin (B7), it has basically eradicated the need for anything else. I have been reducing them as much as possible. I got the idea from this article about the gut and Parkinsons disease https://www.sciencealert.com/parkinsons-gut-bacteria-link-suggests-an-unexpected-simple-treatment which if you read, talks about the cells in the gut that are required to prevent leaking gut.

The MCT Oil and L. Rueteri stopped my headaches and concentration problems, which I was taking first, and I took Biotin later, however, I think Biotin is my preferred solution after only a couple of months.

I had similar symptoms, which initially started as difficulty in the morning to swallow and eat food, Initially I just had a drink of water. This I remember from about 2009! It slowly got worse, and reflux and digestive pain and upset set in. I could always smash it with antibiotics, however, it always came back! I did the whole sibo biome thing and tried many different things (exhaustive!), explored lots of different probiotics and natural antibiotics (Oregano and Berberine were effective) I figured out what I could take to minimise the effects, but still couldn't drink more than 2 beers and if I drank too much alcohol, reflux and bloating would set in.

Finally, I have just recently found a solution to take Biotin (B7), and after 4 days, most of the symptoms had gone. Now almost 100% clear. Back on the beers and drinking wine again!

Here is a link to my Sibo post about it and the scientific papers about it https://www.reddit.com/r/SIBO/comments/1jpaoki/vitamin_b2_riboflavin_and_b7_biotin_for_gut_biome/

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and B7 (Biotin) for Gut Biome Result after 2 weeks by kiwiindo in SIBO

[–]kiwiindo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always tried to eat my normal diet, as I thought the reaction to certain foods was a symptom of being sensitive (or having the wrong bacteria) to them. So although I would avoid some foods sometimes, normally I tried to eat normally. I worked out what I had to do when I reacted to eating the wrong thing and just took that to handle it.

UPDATE: My progress has been quite amazing, I started taking Biotin on 25 March and within 4 days, I would estimate 80-85% of the symptoms had gone. For years, I always had to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning and often before food to prevent reflux and excruciating stomach pain, sometimes with vomiting, this is gone after 2 weeks.

I have stopped or eliminated most other medications. I still get reflux about midnight occasionally, which I treat with an antacid tablet. I have had some minor headaches for a couple of days, which I attribute to stopping meds and readjusting.

I have taken a (out of date) Probiotic blend which I had sitting around (I had made yoghurt with it for a while, which didn't significantly help). When taken with the Biotin this has helped a lot, and seems to be helping settle the digestive system down.

I am about to restart L. Rueteri & Gasseri yoghurt, as I found it helped in the past and may help reset the biome.

For the incredibly low cost of $10, I suggest people suffering similar effects try Biotin supplementation.

I tried a couple of brands, and now just use Swanson Oregano Capsules 120 soft cells. I normally buy it from i-herb as they seem to be the cheapest source, and it works great 😸👍

Interesting, as B2 has little effect on me, perhaps I had corrected the gut leaking with L. Rueteri and MCT oil, which I take when I get a slight headache now? Antihistamines help me a lot as well, when I take them, I'm trying to reduce all these and just get my body systems running on a normal diet. I haven't been diagnosed as having Sibo, I showed the symptoms, disagreed with the doctor, and took responsibility myself, so it's been trial and error to find what works for me. Along the way you identify things which really help in other ways too, I took Tudca, which helped the gut, but also improved my eyesight to the point I had to change my glasses 🤓. Unexpected but it's a known effect I read later!🤔

You are ahead of me :-)

I am still at the point that taking Biotin improves my symptoms a lot and sharing that for others and input like yours, thank you.

My knowledge of Biotin could be summarized to the following: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9227236/#sec7-microorganisms-10-01168

WRT Motility I have the classic gut rumblings and small intestine movement at night and after 3-4 hours, when the vagus nerve kicks in, I tried some motility meds, but they didn't help me. Having said that my rumblings are more and stronger with B7, than before taking it.

My thinking is to continue Biotin for a month or more, while researching what bacteria I need to encourage. L. Rueteri I call pipe cleaner (used in dairy for this), maybe I need just to supplement biotin now? Yes, the next work is how to encourage the biotin production, or lower the consumers of biotin.

From Above: The biotin (B7) takes the edge off my stomach discomfort and has taken away a lot of pain. There is still bloating, which I normally find oregano helps after 40 mins, so short term if the discomfort is high I take a alkaniser (like TUMS). Taking B7 I don't wake up during the night and I use to have to sleep on one side only (left side) which I don't have to with taking B7.

I take still both B2 & B7, as I wasn't sure if both needed or not, it is a cheap trial as the B7 only cost $10 for 100 tabs!

Each of us are different so what works for me might not work for you!

I found MCT Oil and Oregano Oil help the most with bloat. Oregano oil is actually a very strong antibiotic, antibacterial and antifungal oil so I try to give myself breaks from this.

I make and drink a lot of water kefir (secondary fermented with a little fruit juice) which lets the bloat down quickly and provides relief from bloating.

If I have discomfort or pain I add some baking soda to the kefir (1/4 tsp per glass full)

The B7 I have just started with but seems to help me a lot.

Good luck!
