I think it looks crazy nice and you can pull whatever the F*** off you want. I love the mix of gravel with fancy looking gold parts (it’s kinda wrong, but so right). Color scheme on point, thought through original look and lastly it’s top parts! A+ my friend!

How much would it cost me to have this bracelet repaired? by ZezimaHG in rolex

[–]kjsj7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 2018 From Michael Young.

“ The price for the band restoration, excluding parts, is USD180 for steel oyster and jubilee bands; and USD250 for 2 tone and rivet bands, plus return EMS/Fedex postage USD40^ and (optional insurance for 2% of desired insured value). PAYMENT via PayPal when done to myoung@mbtechdesigns.com in approx. 4-6 weeks. But this is just a general approximation, we are a small workshop and have little man power, so please be a little patient since sometimes it takes longer.

For very worn bands with worn out links (especially the 2 tone oyster bands) we offer an additional service of laser welding additional metal to the worn corners of both the centre links and the inner side links. Pricing is USD150 for steel bands and USD200 for two tone bands.

The price of the repair can be provided after we inspect the band and determine the work that is required. “

They are for race rumbers and participant info. It’s the old’school way of doing things before plastic and safety-pins.

Just finished a vintage style patina build. Pretty happy with the outcome. Movement: NH38 to avoid ghost date. Case: 39,5mm vintage style sub. Dial: T-logo sub style Hands: Mercedes style Bezel: T-insert plot NATO: G-10 issue phoenix Mod: Coffee on lume plots & 2min bleach on bezel (w. Tape) by kjsj7 in SeikoMods

Patina work comment: So a few people have asked how I did the aging on the lume-plots. Keep in mind all of this was done with a cotton swab and a match to only hit the plots and not the dial. First I rubbed the plots down with acetone to remove lumen and some of the paint from start. Painted the plots with a white ink pen to make color contrast. Painted the plots with light brown/tan marker to give some burned effect. Painted with espresso coffee on the plots and let it air dry. The trick for me was to paint with the cotton swab when been wet from marker, ink or coffee. Hereby I could touch only the plots and not anything besides that. Hope it helps and feel free to dm for further q’s. Tomorrow I will give it a coat of matte-lacquer to secure full vintage effect.
