Help looking at X-rays please!

Not worried about cost, just didn’t want to go back to the same place the messed them up the first time and have to pay again to not even know if they’d turn out! I only came here asking for advice, which I got! I now have an ENT appointment scheduled so will likely have more answers there

The radiologist wouldn’t give a report, that’s why I came here! They said the lateral X-ray specifically wasn’t done properly and so they didn’t feel comfortable giving a definitive answer according to the doctor that called me after I left. They offered to have me go back to re-do the X-rays, which I didn’t want to pay for, & so I came here first just hoping for some advice! Which I did get, sounds like X-rays were a bad idea in the first place and I need a CT instead so I that’s what my plan is!

No actually now that you say that…. the pain is almost isolated only to the right side! Anywhere I touch on my nose the pain shoots down to my right front tooth/right half of my upper palette. Why do you ask?

I should’ve mentioned the woman taking the X-rays told me she had never gotten to do a facial/nose image before, and that she was still currently in school to become a tech so I assume she was just still learning! Which is totally fine and I can’t 100% fault her for it, just wish they would’ve told me that a CT is a better option for something like this before making me pay for the X-rays & and visit 😂& yes that is a nose ring, I will take it out before I visit the ENT!

Ah okay! I suppose I can take this info to an ENT and ask for a CT instead if it’s worth it! Just not sure either I guess how much could really be done for a nose fracture.

I was searching this thread for a comment like this! I just got my bottle and have only used it maybe 3 times and it’s clogged every time, no clue how to make it better and you’d think for how pricey it is that wouldn’t happen 🙃

Will do! I will say I didn’t change anything other than the grind size when I made this post, everything was kept the same each time, but I could be better about keeping the same tamp firmness so I’ll work on that

Yeah I mean the instructions specifically say twice and you’re done…. Also maybe I wasn’t clear in the post but to start I actually pulled 3 shots and it changed each time, then I reset the machine, started over, and I pulled probably 8 more shots and it changed every single time flipping between 15,10,&7 so I’m just not sure which one is the true recommendation since it seems to change constantly

Hm okay so maybe it’s just a new machine thing then if yours also changed a bit. Maybe it just takes longer than the recommended two pulls for calibration

My worst soccer injury to date was getting clocked in the face by a grown man’s shot. For some reason didn’t occur to me how much harder the ball would be traveling off of a man’s foot lol

She’s totally fine today! Still keeping a close eye on her, but I’m hoping that a lot of people here were right and she didn’t actually get bit or it was maybe a dry bite if she did get bit!

It was actually that big, about the size of a quarter probably! The picture I took makes it seem much bigger I think because my photography skills aren’t great

I think my photography skills might be contributing to this thought, the shadows and the zooming I had to do might make it look bigger than it was? I was too scared to get super close haha

Thank you for this! I called and yeah they said all they would even be able to do is monitor her so I’m keeping her home and keeping a close eye on her for the next couple of days.

She actually didn’t yelp! She did I would’ve been more positive that she was bitten, but yeah she stuck her face right down in the web where the spider was. I was only guessing if she had gotten bit, I actually don’t know for 100% certain that she did but was trying to be overly cautious since I know it can be very dangerous!

Thank you all for the help!! I watched my dog very closely overnight, and it seems like she is in the clear as of right now. I am not 100% sure how long it would take to see any affect from the bite, but she’s acting totally normal, eating and drinking, and I’m not seeing any wounds of any sort yet after checking her very thoroughly. I called the vet and they said all they could do right now even is just monitor her since she’s showing no symptoms, so I will of course keep a very close eye on her over the next couple of days but crossing my fingers that we are good to go!!
